02 | The Revengeful Spirits
Silence hangs heavy between Rose and Jimin as they sit at a small, intimate table in the dimly lit cafe. Jimin's eyes constantly flit towards the exit, a clear sign of his desire to escape the stifling atmosphere. Unwilling to let the silence suffocate their relationship, Rose makes a concerted effort to engage him in conversation.
Rose: (softly) "Jimin, have you heard about that new cafe that opened downtown? I heard they have amazing pastries."
Jimin's eyes briefly meet Rose's before darting away, his fingers tapping anxiously on his phone screen.
Jimin: "Oh, uh, yeah, I think I saw something about it. Maybe we can check it out sometime.
Jimin's response is vague, his attention clearly elsewhere. Just as Rose is about to speak again, Jimin's phone rings, interrupting their strained conversation. He glances at the caller ID with a sense of relief.
Jimin: "Sorry, Rose, I need to take this call. Be right back."
With a quick apology, Jimin hastily rises from the table and heads towards the exit, leaving Rose feeling deflated and alone. She watches him go, a mix of frustration and sadness clouding her expression.
As Rose is lost in her thoughts, the bell above the door jingles, signaling the entrance of two young men. She looks up to see Jungkook and Taehyung walking into the cafe. Their presence immediately catches her attention; there's an air of seriousness around them as they survey the room.
Jungkook and Taehyung exchange a few quiet words before choosing a table near the center of the cafe. Rose watches them curiously as they sit down and continue their hushed conversation, their eyes scanning the room for something - or someone.
Taehyung: (whispering) "Do you see them?"
Jungkook: (nodding slightly) "They're here somewhere. Stay alert."
Rose tries to ignore them, but her curiosity gets the better of her. She steals glances at the two men, wondering who they are and what they're looking for. Jungkook's eyes briefly meet hers, and for a moment, she feels a strange connection, but she quickly looks away, her heart racing.
Taehyung: (leaning in) "We'll need to act fast once we spot them. We can't afford to let them slip away."
Jungkook: (firmly) "I know. Just stay focused."
Rose, feeling the tension in the air, tries to return her focus to her coffee, but her mind keeps drifting back to the mysterious young men and the palpable sense of urgency that surrounds them.

Meanwhile, Jimin steps outside the cafe and answers the call. On the other end is Jennie, his other girlfriend, who sounds worried and upset.
Jennie: "Jimin, where have you been? I've been trying to reach you since yesterday. Why weren't you picking up?"
Jimin, his voice smooth and reassuring, tries to calm her down.
Jimin: "Hey, Love. I'm so sorry, I've just been really busy with work. You know how things can get."
Jennie: (sighing) "I was really worried. I missed you. Can't you come over tonight? I want to see you."
Jimin: (smiling, his tone affectionate) "Of course, babe. I miss you too. I'll be there tonight, I promise."
Jennie: "Okay. I'll be waiting. Please don't be late."
