Chapter One

"Hmf always so pathetic, why can't you do just one thing right I told you to keep your mouth shut but as always you just had the audacity to spill everything out" he said while kicking me in the stomach; I was lying on the ground my hand covering my face and head , tears spilling out , lips bruised.

"P-please Seungcheol listen to me I-I didn't say anything, I swear" i said bringing my knees near to my chest , he stopped kicking "please stop it hurts I can't take it anymore " i said almost in a whisper

"Fine but if i saw you anymore near jeonghan or his family...just remember"

He walked away saying that talking to someone on his phone probably Jeonghan since the call was connected throughout this time. "But I leave in the same pack house as his.....our family is the beta." Hopefully he didn't hear

After few minutes of lying down I finally got up with the help of the wall, washed my face , picked my phone bag locket and made the way outside of the washroom appearing like nothing happened except for the bruised lips and swollen eyes well I have excuse for that so It doesn't matter. Just a few more days and every-

"HEY JOSH WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE " another nuisance

"Hey Seokmin what's up , you still here its already 7:00 why aren't you home yet , you know it's dangerous to be outside , come on lets go together "

Apparently Seokmin was talking a book from library so he was late , we chattered for sometime until we made it to the parking lot where my car was parked , I grabbed my keys and opened the door for Seokmin , he got in the passenger seat and I went to the driver seat. I pulled from the lot and now we were on the road.

" Well I am sorry for asking but Joshua how did you get that bruise on your lips, I tried to ignore it but it looks awful "

I mentally rolled my eyes seriously did he had to ask that like dude just ignore it ;why its so hard to ignore such things ughhh

"Bully " i said with my best fake smile

He gasped "You should tell the principal , who was it .?"

" Shit and Piss"

"Come on Josh , how can you even joke in such situation tell me who was it , was it the seniors whom you rejected 1 week ago or the senior you rejected on the freshman party or the sen-

"Shut up Seokmin its not a big deal and it only happened today because I snitched to the teacher about two of the seniors smoking and doing drugs at the back alley behind school. I didn't thought they would come and beat me in the washroom".

"That's more of a reason to complain about them not only they did bad stuffs but also beat the youngest son of the greatest be-

He put his hand over his mouth and realised he shouldn't have said that

" I am sorry I know that you don't like being called-"

"Get out" i said looking straight with my cold face

"Huh"

"Your house arrived Seokmin" I said dismissing my cold face and putting the bubbly Joshua everyone knows

" Oh right thanks Josh see you Good Night "

" Yeah Night " i said and drove away

I am so tired my whole body is arching urgh I can't even drive fxck fxck. Did those two bastards really had to go all over this pathetic excuse of a human and beat the shit out of me and if that wasn't enough God send Seungcheol and that dickhead kicked me two times in the fucking stomach.

What does he even wants, I didn't told Jeonghan parents that he smoke cigarettes it was his fucking stupidity that caught him and grounded him for 1 week plus everyone at one point in school has seen him smoking so how the fuck he assumed it was me like seriously just because i saw him smoking cigarette the day he got caught if was me who told his parents hell no man. I would never snitch on my friends shit that left a bitter taste in my mind

After rumbling for what seems like hours I finally reached the pack house as busy as ever even when its night time , the pack house is big very big but only the alpha and beta family resides there and there is a staff quarters for people who tends the both families.

I parked my car in the garage and made my way towards the house when suddenly the pain in my legs hit me , if it weren't for the fountain base I would have fallen down, i sat on the fountain base for few minutes and again moved towards the house door limping a bit.

"Joshua are you okay you are limping a little bit"

Fuck just it has to been him....I turned around and yes it was him my brother......and my father beside him they were getting out of the car.His eyes locked on me.

"Hello brother and father" i said bowing a little , my legs hurt ; can't i just go home why does god hate me so much."

"Are you also going towards the home" i asked since the pack house is very big and one part is dedicated for the families living and one for Official works which involves welfare of the pack

"Ah no, we have to submit reports to Alpha then we'll come home with the him after sorting out some things" my brother replied

" Oh okay then I'm going home" i said and was about to turn around when a voice interrupted me

" Why are you so late? School ends at 6 its 8 right now" my father asked in his usual deep voice with a straight face.

I always respected him and loved his attention but when did I started feeling suffocated in his presence i don't remember maybe it was that day.

" I was with Seokmin in library borrowing a book and then dropped him home so I was late " i said in one breath looking down.

"Okay" thats all he said and turned around to move towards the other side where offices are located.

Finally after they left I rashly moved towards the door open it and started walking towards my room. I felt like crying

"Ah Joshua you are here , dinner is ready come sit with us"

I halted in my steps and looked towards the voice it was Luna she was seated in the dining table along with Mom and.......Jeonghan. All eyes turned towards me.

" Its fine I am not hungry" i said and ran to my bedroom ignoring the calls of my name. Locked the door and sat in one of the corners bringing my knees close to mu chest and the tears finally started coming like the waterfall. I cried , i cried for what seem like hours but its only been 30 minutes when someone knocked on my door.

" Joshua, Everyone is waiting for you at dinner table , you know that having dinner together is compulsory for everyone, Mom didn't say anything that time cause you were tired so she let you rest few minutes, eat dinner and then hole up in your room don't create a scene. Come down in five minutes " Jeonghan said and then left.

I collected myself and moved towards washroom freshen up treated some of my wounds though lip bruise was not that visible now and change into fresh clothes which was a black hoodie and black sweatpants.

I left the room and started walking downstairs.
