"I just opened this place and it is already doing so well!" Louis exclaimed as he delivers another coffee to a very kind customer. They thanked him and he smiled big, telling them that it was no problem. He chatted with another customer as he was making their drink for them. They look around and they see a few of his customers with a cupcake or a slice of cake and that makes him curious.
"Do you know where these people are getting these interesting desserts from?" Louis asked and passed a cup to a waiting customer. She thanked him and told a sip before she answered.
"Did you not notice the bakery that is attached to your coffee shop? All I have to do is walk across and I'll be in the bakery. It's also doing pretty well, not going to lie to you. Maybe you have a good partner here. It's like a dream partnership actually," she says and turns to look at the bakery itself. "I'm actually in the mood to eat something sweet. I'll be right back," she said and walked away from the counter, leaving Louis to his thoughts. She wasn't wrong. This is a pretty good partnership that the two of them unknowingly set up. He hopes that the owner of the bakery is okay with this as much as he is, because this could be convenient for him personally as he does love a bit of sweetness. He just loves coffee and tea a bit more.
"I have to meet this guy," Louis says before he looked at the next customer with a big and kind smile. He takes their order and proceeds with the rest of his work day.
...
"I don't even know what he likes..." Louis said as he looked at the cup of coffee that he was holding. He was standing in front of the bakery and he was about to introduce himself to the owner of the bakery. He hopes that the owner actually works in his own shop like he does, but if he doesn't, then he will be fine giving a cup of coffee to a random person. He would make something out of this so that he wouldn't feel embarrassed or anything like that.
He then shrugged his shoulders and knocked on the closed door. He knew that the shop was closed, but he was still going to try to get someone before he had to go and open up his own shop.
After a minute of waiting patiently, the sound of a door unlocking was heard and soon, the door to the bakery opened.
And there stood a REALLY attractive man in Louis's eyes.
"Hello. Is there anything I can help you with?" The tall lad said and Louis swore to himself because of course his voice is even more attractive.
"Oh um... Uh... I own the coffee shop attached to um... Your um... Bakery and I just realized. Sorry!" Louis wanted to kick himself, because he is now feeling embarrassed. Which is something that he was not hoping to happen. "I wanted to meet the owner and give him this. I just hoped to make um... A good impression I guess in the hopes of um... Staying together. Not like a relationship or anything, but um... Because baked goods and coffee or tea goes well together, you know?" Louis asked and the tall guy was smiling, listening to Louis's mini ramble. Which makes Louis want to jump into a black hole and surrender to the abyss, because of course he's making more of a fool out of himself...
"I would be the owner. My name is Harry," the attractive man said, offering his hand to Louis. Louis froze.
I'm so fucked!
