Two Years Later

The quiet hum of the engine of the recently updated G-Wagon was the only noise that Fatima's ears picked up on as she waited patiently in the pick up line of Hartfield Jackson Airport of Atlanta. Her freshly manicured fingertips tapped along the steering wheel in boredom while she continued to wait for Zachary to come outside. Before she could call him, she glanced down at saw her phone was ringing: Madison

"Hey Mrs. Taylor, how are you?"

Fatima smiled at the name before shaking her head "Id be much better if you would just call me Fatima."

"I know, I'm sorry. It's just a force of habit. Did I catch you at a good time?"

"Uh, yeah. I'm just picking Zac up from the airport. Is everything okay? Did the twins get home okay?"

"Oh yeah, reunification went perfect and they are back home with their aunt. And thank you guys again for everything that you did with them and for giving them a chance. It was so helpful and I know it wasn't easy. The fact that Khi is finally stable on those meds made it even easier."

Fatima could only agree to that out of all of the children that they have accepted Kai and Kolton Baker were the absolute most challenging.

When the Taylor's returned from their honeymoon they both dove head first in finding a private agency to foster through in hopes of doing exactly what the system failed to do for Fatima: help her.

Over all the process took about 6 months and before they knew it, they had been lucky enough to get approved to foster up to four children at a time from the ages of 0-14 to assist in being able to keep siblings together.

Over the past two years, they had four placements:

According to their file, they entered foster care due to educational neglect and inadequate housing. Life happened for lack of better terms and their biological mother got behind on her bills and was forced out of her home. Destiny and Xavier missed 39 days of school in total until the Department of Family and Children Services realized that they were living out of the car. They stayed with Zac and Fatima for about 5 months while their mother got back on her feet and received an apartment unit that was owned by Rise Ventures, courtesy of the Taylor's.
