The golden hues of the Italian sunset bathed the rolling hills of Tuscany in a warm, romantic glow. Shaurya had meticulously planned every detail of this moment, ensuring it would be a memory Mayra would cherish forever. He led her through a winding path lined with cypress trees, the air fragrant with the scent of blooming flowers.

"Shaurya, where are we going?" Mayra asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity and excitement.

"You'll see," Shaurya replied with a mischievous grin, squeezing her hand reassuringly.

As they reached the top of a hill, a breathtaking view of vineyards and olive groves spread out before them. In the center of a small clearing was a beautifully set table, adorned with candles and a bouquet of Mayra's favorite flowers. Soft music played in the background, creating a magical atmosphere.

"Shaurya, this is amazing," Mayra said, her voice filled with wonder as she took in the scene.

Shaurya smiled, guiding her to the table. "I'm glad you like it. There's something I need to tell you, Mayra."

He took a deep breath, his heart pounding with anticipation. He dropped to one knee, pulling out a small velvet box from his pocket. Mayra's eyes widened in shock, her hand flying to her mouth.

"Mayra, we've known each other since we were kids. You've been my best friend, my confidante, and my greatest support. I can't imagine my life without you," Shaurya began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "I want to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you make me. Will you marry me?"

Tears welled up in Mayra's eyes as she looked down at Shaurya, her heart overflowing with emotion. "Shaurya, I... I don't know what to say," she stammered, her voice choked with tears.

"Say yes," Shaurya whispered, his eyes pleading.

A tearful smile spread across Mayra's face as she nodded. "Yes, Shaurya. Yes, I'll marry you."

Shaurya's face lit up with joy as he slipped the ring onto her finger, then stood up and pulled her into a tight embrace. The setting sun cast a golden halo around them, sealing their promise in its warm light.

Later that evening, in the cozy glow of their villa, Mayra dialed her brother Aarav's number. Her parents, Maya and Rudra, gathered around as she put the call on speaker.

"Aarav, guess what!" Mayra exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement. "Shaurya proposed, and I said yes!"

"That's wonderful news, Mayra!" Aarav's voice boomed through the speaker, filled with joy. "Congratulations, you two!"

"Thank you, Aarav," Shaurya replied, grinning.

"Make sure you call Anushka too," Aarav reminded, knowing the sisters had recently had a falling out.

Mayra sighed sadly. "I tried calling her, but she didn't answer. She's been ignoring my calls."

Aarav's voice softened. "Give her some time. She'll come around. In the meantime, I know Mom and Dad have some news for you too."

Maya and Rudra exchanged a glance. Maya smiled warmly at Mayra. "Mayra, we want you to meet someone very special. This is Maahi."

A young girl stepped into view, her eyes shy and curious. "Hi, Mayra."

Mayra smiled at the girl, feeling an inexplicable connection. "Hi, Maahi. It's nice to meet you."

Rudra placed a gentle hand on Maahi's shoulder. "Maahi has been through a lot, and Anushka helped rescue her. She's staying with us now."
