THAT NIGHT:
Clarion was at Milori's house waiting for the Betckings
"They were supposed to arrive 30 minutes ago," said Clarion nervously.
"For the Betckings, they're never late, it's us who are early," said Milori, setting the dinner table.
"You're always badmouthing them," said Clarion mockingly.
"All right, see for yourself," said Milori with a laugh.
Just then they heard the doorbell ring.
"This is it," said Milori, straightening up.
Clarion went to greet the Betckings, who, to her amazement, barely greeted Clarion when they arrived.
"Milori dear, you didn't tell me you were married" said Abigail betcking, crossing her arm with milori's, while looking at clarion
"oh... hmm we're not married" said milori awkwardly
"She's one of my teachers... one of the best," said Milori smiling at Clarion, making her look awkward.
"Oh, and what would the beautiful lady's name be?" asked Mr. Jonny Betcking, kissing Clarion's hand.
"My name is Clarion and it's a real treat to be in your presence," said Clarion elegantly.
" What a perfect lady!" complimented Abigail, impressed by Clarion's elegance.
"Dinner is served" said Milori at the head of the table
30 MINUTES LATER:
As they dined, the Betckings charmed Clarion with their fine character and arrogance.
"Our last maid thought it was bad because we didn't let her drink the same water as us," said Abigail, perplexed by the situation.
"It's amazing how there are still people who don't know their place," said an annoyed Jonny.
"I completely agree," said Milori, giving Clarion, who was sitting opposite him, a funny look.
Clarion, for her part, was in complete shock at the arrogance of the Betckings.
"It's hard to find people like you, Clarion," said Abigail, taking Clarion's hand with a smile.
"You're right my love, it's good to know that our children have teachers to match," said Jonny sipping his wine.
"Who are your children?" asked Clarion curiously.
"Don't you know our children?" asked Abigail, offended.
"Actually, Clarion doesn't teach ninth grade, so she has no contact with your children," said Milori, avoiding a problem.
"Mia and Blake betickings" said Jonny proudly.
Clarion almost spat out her wine when she heard who the couple's children were.
"Those two... little angels" said Clarion, rephrasing her words, so as not to say anything else.
"Well, Miss Clarion, I understand you're directing the theater play?" asked Abigail.
"Yes, I will," said Clarion with a false smile.
"I'm sure you've cast them in great roles" said jonny cheerfully
"Of course she will, our babies are stars...not like these people" said Abigail with disgust
"So milori how are they" asked jonny seriously
"They're fine, they're excellent students" lied milori
