A few months later, August
"Nari!" I heard Mingyu call me.
I stood up from the couch and started to look for him in the apartment. He came up from behind me, startling me.
"Mingyu!" I laughed, playfully slapping him on the shoulder.
It was a few months later, after the accident. I had a harder time trying to pretend I was Taeri, in the end, i acted my self. I know I shouldn't, but I fell for Mingyu. I love him.
He teases me like no other, making me laugh. I can see why Taeri loved him so much.
He pulled me in for a kiss, and I let him. He pulled me onto the couch and pushed me down, hovering over me, the kiss heating. Our tongues dueled together, creating the intimate feeling.
" I love you Taeri." He whispered in my ear, caressing my left cheeck.
And with those four words, I felt a pang of guilt in my chest. My heart was broken.

August, 2019, few days later
I swung my legs in the water, sitting on the pier.
"Nari, I have something to give you." Mingyu smiled cheekily.
"What is it?" I looked at him.
He went in his pocket, and pulled out a little gray box.
"Open it." He smiled, handing it to me.
I smiled at the box, then opened it. It was a little chain bracelet, with charms. A sunflower, a heart, and a rose.
I admired the bracelet, taking it out of the box.
"Can you put it on for me?" I smiled, putting out my right hand for him.
He looked at me, and his smile went from one ear to another. He took the bracelet from my hand and gently attached to me wrist. He looked at my hands, admiring them.
While we were looking across the horizon and into the sunset, Mingyu suddenly got a call. He stood up, and walked away to answer it.
I know it was horrible of me to eavesdrop but, I couldn't stop.
He found out.
He tried to get my VISA for the US, but my documents and Taeris didn't match, meaning, I wasn't Taeri. And from the call, he found out about her death.
I stood up and walked towards him when he hung up.
"Mingyu?" I called for him, touching his shoulder gently.
He turned around and held my wrists, a bit too hard. I flinched at his words, the guilt hitting me.
"Why did you pretend to be Taeri!?" He yelled at me, but from his voice, I knew he was at the brink.
"Taeri told me I had to pretend until you got your surgery! I'm sorry Mingyu." I sobbed, pleading.
He pulled the bracelet off of my wrist, breaking it. I looked up at him, seeing his eyes full of fury, I shrunk.
"What else did you pretend?" He looked at me, hurt.
He then let me go, but only because of the pain in his chest. He needed his meds.
"You need your medication, where is it?" I panicked, looking in my purse.
He grabbed my wrist, and pulled me towards him.
"Leave. Just fucking leave."
I looked at him, making eye contact. He meant it. I fucked it up. I tried to control my tears, but they didn't listen and fell.
I looked down and he let go of my wrist, as if they were dirt or something. I placed the bottle of water and his meds of the wood of the pier, then ran. I ran away.
I fucked it up.
