The next two days passed quickly with us coped up in our rooms studying nonstop. Being the university topper and daughter of one of the top design companies in India, I was popular among the students.
The Sharma's were known for conducting the biggest pooja's and annadanams (free food) during festivals in India and being a Sharma I obviously had to do it too.
Living in Mumbai as a South Indian kinda gets lonely sometimes especially during festivals that are not celebrated in the northern side of India.
That's why along with a few other South indians in our university, me and Aarvi organize events during these festivals so all the South indians who cannot go home during festivals can enjoy the feeling of home here and North indians can also join us celebrating different culture.
Out of all the festivals, Sankranti, which is the first festival we host every year is most looked forward to by everyone in university as Ishika Sharma and Aarvi Reddy organize it. Everyone knows that events especially a pooja organized by a Sharma are the best.
This year me and aaru planned a grand pooja in the morning, followed by a traditional telugu lunch. Later in the afternoon there would be a kite flying competition too.
"ISHU COME HERE" I heard my bestie yell for me from her room as I just finished getting ready.
It was sankranti today and I was wearing a lavender half saree making me look like a South Indian goddess. My hands are clad with gold bangles and I wore a pair of light anklets.
I also wore a waist chain made out of pearls
I took a little of my curl hair in the front to pin it back but my bangs fell right off due to their length. It's fine cause it looked cute. I wore heavy earrings with ear chains which I clipped back to my hair.

Everything I wore was gold as I was allergic to the metal jewelry. Wearing them for a while is fine but if I wear them for too long my skin gets irritated.
