My eyes bolted open, hearing the loud thunder. All I saw was darkness and the lightning flashing through my window curtains.I began to start shaking. I hate storms so much. The thunder scared me the most. Another loud sound of thunder made me jump. I knew I couldn't go back to sleep because of this storm. The rain drops hit my window loudly, sliding down the glass.
I want to go to Jordan's room, but he'll probably kick me out. He hates me, but I still don't understand why we live together.
He never liked each other as kids and we still don't. But something came up so I ended up living with him.I slowly took the blankets off my body and got up. Thunder boomed around the apartment and I jumped. I decided to get a glass of water to calm myself down. I opened my door and walked into my kitchen. I grabbed a glass cup and poured myself some water.
I began to take a sip of my water till a low rumble sound surrounded the room. I dropped my glass, watching the glass break into a thousand pieces, along with the water spilling. I realized it shattered really loud.
No, no, no! I can't wake Jordan up. He'll come yell at me and make me cry. I kneeled down and tried to pick up the glasses before he came and woke up.
I heard footsteps coming closer to the kitchen. I panicked and picked up the glass pieces faster, cutting my finger. I looked up and saw a shadow looking down at me. I slowly got up, looking at Jordan. A loud rumble of thunder made me jump.
"J-Jordan, I'm sorry! I just wanted water because I'm scared of storms and I didn't mean to wake you up! The thunder scared me so I dropped my cup. I'll pick this all up! I'm sorry." I began to panic. I just wanted to run and hide.
The green eyed boy just stared at me. I closed my eyes waiting for him to start screaming at me. Jordan pulled me into his chest and hugged me. "Will, it's fine. I'll clean the mess up in the morning. I need to get you a bandaid, so go wash your hand." He comforted me.
I nodded, quietly. I was released from his grip and walked into my bathroom to wash the blood off my finger. He walked in behind me and took my index finger. He wrapped a bandaid around the wound.
"T-Thank you.." I mumbled.
"You're sleeping with me tonight." He said calmly. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into his room. I laid down on his bed while he laid on the other side.
I sat there for a good twenty minutes under the blankets. I couldn't sleep due to the storm. The rain was harder than before. The rain sounded like it could go through the ceiling. I started shaking. I curled myself into a ball and began to cry silently.
"Will?" I heard Jordan whisper.
"Y-Yes?" I said quietly, still crying.
"Come here." He whispered back. I turn around and faced him. He saw the tears streaming down on my face. He wiped them with his thumb and pulled me closer to him. He kissed my forehead and wrapped his around my skinny waist.
"Go to sleep, I'm here. I'll protect you from the storm." He whispered into my ear. He kissed the top of my head.
The smell and feeling of him made me feel safe. I felt like nothing could hurt me. The storm became progressively louder and louder so I gripped his shirt tightly.
"Don't worry, Will. You're safe.
