- Four Year Time Jump -

WHISKEY POV!!

Whoever said being the daughter of an overlord would be fun was WRONG. I was five years old and I had never interacted with another child outside the casino for my 'safety.' Most of the time I was lonely, and my dad would try make up for it by buying me expensive toys and clothes, but all I ever wanted was to be a normal kid, just like the ones I saw on TV. Everything changed one day, and that day was my sixth birthday.

"Morning Whisk." A voice whispered in my ear and shook me awake gently. I sat up slowly and rubbed my eyes. "Morning mamma." I yawned. Angel was sitting on my bed rubbing my arm. He always preferred I called him mamma, since it reminded him of his Italian culture and apparently sounds 'sexier' than papà. "Happy birthday, baby." He smiled softly and kissed me on the cheek. "Wait... IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!" I squealed and hopped out of bed. "Does that mean I get a birthday wish?" I asked while jumping up and down. "You can make a wish after I've brushed your hair." He told me and picked up the hairbrush from the nightstand. "Fineeee." I whined and sat down on the bed in front of him. "Do you know what you're gonna wish for yet, babe?" Mamma asked as he ran the brush through my hair. "Yes." I giggled. "And it's a birthday wish so it will come true." I mumbled while I fiddled with my thumbs. "Alright babe, when you're done getting ready we'll go seen your dad." He picked me up and walked me into the wardrobe to pick out an outfit.

"You look so hot, birthday girl." Mamma said as she spun me around. I was wearing a white, flowing dress with lace around the bottom and the sleeves. "Can I pleaseeeee make my wish now?" I got down on my knees and begged. "Okok fine." He laughed. "Now get off your knees you look like a-" He stopped himself before he could finish his sentence. "Hm?" I asked. "Nothing baby, let's go see your dad." He sighed and grabbed my arm to pull me off my knees. I struggled to keep up with mamma sometimes, he had long legs and wore black boots which made him walk a lot faster than me. I knew I'd be super fast when I grew big and strong one day. He held my hand and walked me down the hallway, I had to almost run to stop myself from being dragged. We made it around the corner into the office where dad did all his work.

The office was one of the biggest rooms in the casino, it was where I spent a lot of my time as a child. It had a crystal chandelier that sparkled in the hell-light that crept in through the windows and tall ceilings with pretty designs on them. I looked at the main desk and saw my dad sitting there finishing up some sort of work. "DADDY!" I squealed and ran over to the desk. He smiled and lifted me up to sit me on his lap. "Happy birthday sweetheart." he said and scratched behind my ears. Mamma came up to the desk to kiss dad on the lips quickly and walk over to the coffee table. "Ew that's gross." I gagged and covered my eyes. "You don't need to worry because you're not kissing any boys until you're fifty." He smirked and tucked my fur behind my ear. "I'm never kissing a boy, EVER. Boys are disgusting." I hissed and folded my arms.

"I have a birthday wish for a special girl." I immediately lifted my head to see mamma with a small birthday cake that had a candle sticking out the top. I was too excited to say anything, I had been thinking about this for weeks, and was certain this was the wish that would come true. "Blow out your candle Whisk." Mamma whispered and held up the cake closer to my face. I jumped out of dad's lap and blew it out as quick as I could. "What did you wish for, hon?" Daddy asked. I climbed out of his lap back onto the floor. "I wished... to go to the park!" I exclaimed with my hands on my hips. Mamma and dad gave each other a quick glance and then looked back at me. "The park...?" Mamma asked. "Don't most kids just want a pony or something? That is something I can get you." Daddy smirked holding up his bank card. "No! I wanna go to the park like the ones on TV. Where I can meet other kids!" I explained to them. "Not happening, Whiskey." Dad growled and looked away. "Come on, babe." Mamma put his hand on daddy's shoulder and kissed him on the nose. "We were kids once too, let her go to the park." He smiled softly. "Mmmm... fine." Daddy mumbled. "YAY!" I squealed. "BUT, you're going with the security guards." He told me. "Oh no... all of them?" I asked. We all knew they wouldn't let me do ANYTHING if even a few of them were there. "No not all, just 9 of them." He replied. "WHAT?? COME ON!" I yelled. "Don't give me attitude Whisk. It's either going with them or not going at all." He hissed. Mamma nodded his head, I knew there was no getting out of this. "Fine." I groaned and stared at the floor.

I was a kid but I wasn't clueless. The only reason my parents sent all the security to the park with me is because they thought I couldn't be trusted. Why else would they do that? Mamma and daddy both walked me down to the entrance. "We'll see you in a few hours, toots." Mamma knelt down and kissed me on the cheek. "Bye mamma." I smiled and looked at daddy. He looked worried but was trying to cover it up. "Promise me that you with security at all times." He whispered. "Yes!" I giggled and gave a thumbs up. I waved goodbye one last time and jumped into the limo with the rest of the security guards. The trip was only 10 minutes, but it felt so much longer since no one would really speak to me. I sat up straight and tapped my knees a few times. "Is my dad paying you or are you just guarding the casino because you feel like it?" I asked. "The first one." The guard next to me snapped without even turning in my direction. "Why do you all hate me?" I muttered under my breath. Out of the nine security guards, not a single one replied. I crossed my arms and sunk into my seat for the rest of the trip.

When we arrived I stepped out of the limo and saw all the park equipment I tried to sprint away from security. After only a couple steps one of them grabbed me by my dress and picked me up effortlessly. "No running away from us." He hissed and out me back down. I looked around the park, there was a slide, climbing frame, swings and a bathroom. Perfect. "I need to tinkle!" I whined and started speed walking as fast as I could towards the bathroom. As soon as I made it to the door I stopped the security guards that were following quickly behind me. "This is girls only!" I hissed and pointed at the 'ladies' sign. "Too bad you're all boys, looks like you need to wait out here." I smirked and put my hands on my hips. All of the security guards looked really mad, but one of them covered it up nicely and nodded their head and gestured for me to go in alone while the rest of them stood outside the door.

The bathrooms were icky, and I swear I saw a couple hell roaches on the floor. A small bit of light crept in through a small window that was just big enough for me to fit through, the only problem was that it was way too high up for anyone to reach, especially me. I knew I should've eaten more vegetables to grow taller. I climbed up onto the sink carefully trying not to slip and pulled myself up onto the window sill. I took a couple seconds to catch my breath and prepared myself to jump out onto the other side. I saw the big drop and braced myself for the fall. I landed on my paws and brushed myself off before I noticed something, or someone sneaking around a corner of a nearby building. It was s shadow ams it was moving quicker than any demon I had seen before. There was a small part of me that knew I shouldn't follow it, but I was just too curious and desperately needed to get away from this bathroom before the security guards noticed I was gone. "Hey! Wait up!" I whispered shouted and bolted as fast as I could around the building.
