The Night Everything Changed

Thursday, October 31, 2024. It is just a normal school day for Grace and Blakely. Grace pulls up to her house, and rolls down the window, "Hey girl, come on. Get in!"

Blakely runs over to the passenger side and she hops into the car, "How are you miss girl...?!"

Grace starts to pull off heading towards school, "Good how bout you? Are you excited for the party?!"

"I'm great! Anyways, who wouldn't be excited.", Blakely gasps for a moment, "How are you and Mr. Lover man..?!"

Grace blushes slightly, "We are doing good, we hung out for a bit last night. May or may not have made out."

"OH MY GOSH!", Blakely said grabbing her arm and squeezing it. She puts her head in her hands, "You missy got to tell me every detail!!"

Grace giggles softly, "We were just chilling and one thing led to another, nothing too special"

"Nothing too special?! You're joking, honey, this is the start of an amazing relationship. I can feel it.", Blakely said smiling widely.

They arrive at school, Josh is seen waiting for them outside the school. Josh awkwardly walks over to Grace hugging her.

"Hey...", Josh said giving Grace a quick peck on the lips, Blakely smiles at them. "Awww! Y'all are too cute! Wait!", Blakely whips out her phone going to take a picture.

Grace feels a blush form on her cheeks, suddenly Jake creeps up behind Blakely picking her up and spinning.

Blakely screams as she is spun around, Jake sits her down laughing as Blakely turns around hitting him.

Jake winces slightly, "Ow! What was that for?!"

"You're a jackass, Jake!", she said as she started walking away from him as Grace and Josh follow behind.

Jake quickly grabs Blakely's chin turning her face leaning into a kiss. Blakely instantly kisses back, her hand going to the back of his neck, Josh and Grace walk off without them.

Grace and Josh start walking towards her class, she turns to look at him, "You don't have to walk me to class, it's far from yours"

"No it's fine, don't worry about it.", Josh said turning and looking at her.

Grace looks at him with furrowed brows, "But your going to be late"

Josh smiles reassuringly, "Grace, it's fine. Seriously. I honestly don't mind."

They stop outside the door, "Oh right, are you busy this afternoon? Me, Blakely, Jake, and hopefully you are going to the mall to costume shop"

"I need to help my dad at the shop, just with a couple of things, so I can get paid. Then I'll probably be by after.", Josh said touching her arm.

Grace smiles softly, "OK, I will text you what store we are at"

"Alright sounds good..", Josh returns the smile, reaching over and pecking her lips.

Suddenly the bell rings, Grace and Josh say their goodbyes and Grace enters her class

**TIME SKIP: AT LUNCH**

Josh is waiting for Grace outside her class, they walk to the lunchroom together. They meet up with Blakely and Jake.

They all sit down at a table outside as they start chatting. Blakely sits next to Jake leaning into him as he has his arm around her shoulder, "So what are y'all going as to the Halloween party.", Blakely said with curiosity.

Grace glances at Josh before answering, "Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf"

Josh looks at her his eyebrows furrowed, "Oh you were serious about that..?" Blakely smiles as she crosses her arm, "I'd think it would be cute."
