Screams was all everyone heard in the castle, and those screams belonged to the new princess Helena, who seemed not to be able to fall asleep or sleep without being startled awake.
"Princess, I am so sorry if she woke you; I just can't seem to calm her." Mary, the young princess wetnurse and handmaiden, said, rocking the little baby, clearly overwhelmed.
"All is fine, Mary; may I?" she asked, gesturing to the baby and making the maid shake her head.
"Oh no, Princess, please, that is not necessary; I can handle it," Mary said, making Marcella sigh.
"You being capable of doing your job is not my concern, Mary. I wish to comfort my sister," Marcella said, making the maid cave in.
"Oh, alright, here you go," the maid said, gently handing Marcella the small baby.
"Has the queen been told about her daughter's sleeping struggles?" Marcella asked, rocking the baby, who was quickly calming down and surprising Mary.
"Yes, Princess, but she just said that she didn't care and that it was not her responsibility, and that is what I am here for," Mary replied, making Marcella scoff slightly before the door opened, drawing their attention.
"Aegon, what are you doing, my sweet?" Marcella asked, seeing a sleepy Aegon at the door, holding his dragon-stuffed animal and his guard.
"The prince could not find deep sleep, my princess; he asked to find you." Ser Grant told the princess, who nodded, understanding why
"Babe is being too loud," Aegon whined, making her laugh softly.
"I know, but your sister is very cranky, but she is calm now," Marcella said, running her free hand through his hair.
"Can I stay with you?" he asked, looking at her with pleading eyes and making her nod. "Of course, how about we go to your chambers?" she said, making him nod happily.
"Mary, could you bring Helena's bassinet into Aegon's chambers for the night?" she requested, making the woman smile.
"Right away, princess," Mary said before taking the bassinet out of the room.
"Ser Grant, Ser Alister, you may have the rest of the night off if you wish." She told Aegon and Helena's guards, but they shook their heads.
"We will stay and do our duty to protect you three," Ser Grant said, making her smile.
"Very well," she said before taking Aegon's hand and leading him out of the room and to his placing a now-sleeping Helena in her crib before turning back to Aegon.
"Up in bed, little prince." She said picking him up and getting into bed, cuddling up to him.
"Will you sing?" Aegon asked quietly, making her hum. "What shall I sing?"
"The one you always do," he said, making her nod and sit further up with him lying with his head on her lap.
Where the north wind meets the sea
There's a river full of memories.
Sleep, my darling, safe and sound.
For in this river, all is found.
In her waters, deep and true
Lie the answers and a path for you.
Dive deep into her sound.
But not too far, or you'll be drowned.
Yes, she will sing to those who hear.
And in her song, all magic flows.
But can you brave what you most fear?
Can you face what the river knows?
Where the north wind meets the sea
There's a mother full of memories.
Come, my darling, homeward bound
When all is lost, then all is found.
When she looked down, she met a sleeping Aegon who clutched her nightdress in one hand and the dragon-stuffed animal she made in the other.
"Good night, Aegon, and good night, Helena," she whispered, laying back and letting the darkness consume her.

"Ser Caleb, do you know where Marcella is? She and Ser Derek were not at her chambers when I checked," Viserys asked the knight who bowed.
"Prince Aegon's chamber, Your Grace; she is there with the young prince and princess." Ser Caleb replied, making him nod with a soft smile.
"Should have guessed thank you, Ser Caleb," Viserys said before walking away towards Aegon's chambers and greeting Ser Derek, Ser Grant, and Ser Alistair, who stood by each other at the door.
"Your grace," they all said at the same time, bowing to their king, who nodded at the three.
"Good morning, you three. Are my children in there?" he asked, pointing to the chambers where loud giggles were heard through the door.
"Yes, they are your grace," Ser Derek said, receiving a smile from the king before he opened the door and walked in, stopping when he saw Marcella chasing Aegon around the room, pretending to be a dragon, as Helena watched on the bed in her bassinet.
"Father, good morning," Marcella said, smiling larger than he had seen in a long time as Aegon turned around and ran to him.
"Hi, sweet, hear Aegon," he said, picking up the young boy. "Save me, Ela; you're going to get me!" The little boy screamed, making him laugh.
"Oh, don't you worry, Ella will always protect you," Viserys told his son before kissing his head before setting him down.
"Is everything alright?" Marcella asked, hugging him.
"Everything is fine, sweet heart. No need to worry, but your new ward has arrived, Kenna. I believe she is in the throne room right now. Alicent is greeting her."
"Why is her grace greeting her?" Marcella asked, confused. The woman never cared for any matters of the court, so why was she suddenly interested in such matters?
"I am not sure when she heard you sent help to the Stepstones and decided to ward the girl. She didn't think that it would be best, she said, as you are getting married and will need to have an heir. I don't know; she kind of ranted, and I kind of didn't listen." Viserys explained, shrugging, making her laugh slightly, covering her mouth, and slapping his arm.
"Well, I must go greet my ward, Aegon. Come along, darling. Let us go give your sister to Mary to feed, and you can come with me. How does that sound?"
"Fun," Aegon said, making her laugh and picking up Helena to bring her to Mary, her maid and wet nurse.
