2016 (Post "Reputation")| Taylor's Jet
As I watched my jet approach Kansas City International Airport with a pensive face, I gently closed my eyes and leaned back into my black leather seat.
Surely, this was for the best? Since Joe and I had split up due to his affair with a girl much younger than us both and the entire Kanye West incident, I had quit music for the better, and was now moving to Kansas City for the better.
My heart still hurt for what could have been a successful career, for music was my passion, and was ripped away by someone who had to reason to.
Snippets of my failed album "Reputation" had been playing throughout my head for the entire journey, but I couldn't bring myself to release it. Holding onto the past wouldn't do anything but bring back memories of the pain that my ex-relationship had brought me.
I let in a gulp as we smoothly landed, faintly hearing my pilot announce we had arrived, but the immense thuds of my heartbeat muffled it.
As I walked down the steps of my plane, the humid air hit me and it brought a realisation to me - I had actually moved to Kansas City.
Here's to new beginnings and no trouble.
Or so I thought.
