"Hello?" The other line answered but I stayed silent. "Hello?" Jack said again. I jumped back to life after I heard that. I was reading that text from Heath. My ex. "Congratulations!" Me, Chloe, and Stella were ecstatic about his win. But deep down I was dreading the day were I had to meet my new "boyfriend". "Well thank you, but you know what that means." His tone changed and I could tell he was grinning behind the scream. "Yes. I do" I was peeved by this but maybe he will have good taste.
I shooed the girls away as they scurried to their rooms. They knew about the bet. They also knew that I was about to talk to him about that. Chloe mouthed good luck to me as I mouthed back thank you. "Ok, I have a list of bachelors for you." I heard a page turn. He must've had a whole list. "Tell me then." I was bugged I couldn't care less.
"Ok I have five people for you."
"Five!? Well that's a lot."
"Yeah whatever, ok we have, James Mac. Your first date is on May 25th at 7 PM. Don't. Be. Late."
James Mac was the schools "geek". He had the best grades and would graduate as valedictorian this year. He was annoying and so was his voice. One time in 9th grade, he stole all my work and said "it was his" but that time I got a 0 and he got a 100.
"I'm not going on a date with James Mac. I hate him."
"Shut up your going on a date with him"
He hung up the phone. Gosh that little fucker. Both James and Jack. Something with J names that make me mad. Well my date is on Friday, tomorrow. I headed to bed. My thoughts in my head. I'm trying to think of the worst thing that could happen to me. But that is dating James Mac. Out of all people he picked the worst person. He wasn't even hot too. He looked like he crawled out of a sewer and smelt like it too. Whatever. I'm just gonna hope it gets better then this.
