"I had such a rough day today." Reneé couldn't help but collapse into the welcoming, warm embrace of your arms being wide open for her.

"Aw, I'm sorry, babe. I'm here now." You whispered softly in her ear, brushing her hair back to lightly drag the tip of your finger across the back of her ear, sending shivers down Reneé's back.

Ceilings, plaster
Can't you just make it move faster?
Lovely to be sitting here with you
You're kinda cute but it's raining harder

With your back now flat on the mattress, Reneé crawled up enough to wrap her legs around your waist, hugging your upper body with her face stuffed in your chest. Your hand slipped under her shirt to rub the soft skin of her back, tracing random shapes every now and then.

My shoes are now full of water
Lovely to be rained on with you
It's kinda cute but it's so short

Then you're drivin' me home
And I don't wanna leave
But I have to go

The rain pouring outside clicked against your bedroom window, neither of you cared. If anything it only added to the peacefulness of the evening you're spending together.

You kiss me in your car
And it feels like the start of a movie I've seen before
Before

"Here." You sat up, Reneé following suit, as you lifted her shirt over her head. She did the same to you, rolling over on her back now to pull you on top of her. You had a certain comforting weight that made her feel safe.

Bedsheets, no clothes
Touch me like nobody else does
Lovely to just lay here with you
You're kinda cute and I would say all of this

With the innocent skin on skin contact, Reneé could feel all of her tension and negative feelings from her terrible day slip away. Just your presence, touch, and words calmed her down.

But I don't wanna ruin the moment
Lovely to sit between comfort and chaos
But it's over
Then you're drivin' me home

"All days with you are good days." Reneé muffled into your fluffy hair, lifting her head up to gaze into your eyes. "You know that?"

"No." You hummed, pecking her lips. "But, that's how I feel with you, too."

And it kinda comes out as I get up to go
You kiss me in your car
And it feels like the start of a movie I've seen before
But it's not real

Reneé smiled a genuine smile tonight, her hands softly gliding up and down your back, feeling the gentle and small rolls of your body. Your face tucked away in her bare shoulder while your hand traced the outline of the small veins visible on her neck.

And you don't exist
And I can't recall the last time I was kissed
It hits me in the car

"I'm glad to call you mine." You looked up at your girlfriend who smiled with a shake of her head.

And it feels like the end of a movie I've seen before

"Nah, I think it's me who's lucky." Reneé lightly tapped your nose, causing you to scrunch it up instinctively with a smile.

You playfully rolled your eyes while kissing her lips longingly. "Your fans would disagree with you."

Before.

"You might be right about that." Reneé paused for a moment to hum those words, sparking a giggle between you both.
