Ophidy slung her dress off when she finally made it to her room. It was early, probably around 3 in the morning but that was prime time for her kind.

Yet here she was because she wasn't allowed anywhere else. Unless Goldie joined her.

Goldie was still at the charity event. After a few hours of mingling and being bored, Ophidy excused herself. Using her tiredness as an excuse.

It was normal for her so no one thought otherwise. However, that pill she had taken earlier was still very effective. She hated the thought of where it came from but she couldn't deny how amazing it made her feel.

She slid on a pair of black leggings and a long dark grey shirt and fitted her combat boots on. She just wanted to go for a walk. She didn't want to socialize but she was much too awake to sleep.

Walking the empty long halls of their home she was glad to have escaped the watchful eye of Jefferey Bix. He eyed her like a predator throughout the night and it unnerved her a bit. She felt it best to get some space from that and hopefully she wouldn't have anymore run ins with him.

She walked until she entered the back courtyard. It lay barren at this time of night. She could hear a few guards in the distance  but imagined they must be on a routine patrol. She entered into a large annexed building that led to the gardens.

A banging noise down the hall caught her attention. She shouldn't have, but thinking nothing dangerous ever happened here at home she went to investigate.

The banging grew louder until it stopped just as she reached the closed door the sound was coming from behind.

She grabbed the handle and clicked it open. As she opened the door a hand quickly reached out and snagged her inside the room.

She grunted as her back made contact with a wall in the room and an arm slammed above her. The wall jarred and cracked and dust fell making her cough.

She peeked an eye up at her assailant.

Yellow eyes connected with a sharp icy blue.

The distinct sound of chains brought her attention to the fact that around each wrist and also around the neck, thick heavy chains that appeared busted and broken on the ends.

"Where am I?" Came a gutteral voice, barely recognizable and closer to a deep growl.

Ophidy's eyes were wide, coming to the conclusion but also not believing who this could be.

This couldn't possibly be the creature from the gang?

Why would they bring it here of all places?!

The creature snarled, it's human form battling the urge to transform resulting in a face that was somewhat contorted in-between beast and human. It caused any words Ophidy may have tried to say to escape her.

She had never come face to face with a werewolf. She hadn't figured this would even be a werewolf since her uncle said it was a new source.

The werewolf towered over her, her hair was black and jagged and her ears had already elongated to that of long black wolf ears. Her eyes held a white glow that seemed to enhance the blue and Ophidy had trouble looking away to notice anything else in the short amount of time. Their eyes remained locked for a few moments.

Voices in the distance caused the creature to glance over its shoulder behind them and a low growl erupted. It was so deep Ophidy could feel the vibration of it in her own chest. She trembled and the sudden surge of fear gripped her.

The wolf flared its nostrils and glanced back towards her. It grabbed her forcefully and dragged her to the side of the room where a hole had been previously busted through the wall.

Ophidy pressed her hands against the arm around her waist. "Hey, wait a minute." She struggled, "I'm... I'm not going anywhere with you." She stuttered slightly.

The werewolf didn't respond as it pressed them both through the hole easily despite Ophidy's struggle. They crossed a few rooms until they arrived into a closet. She felt herself being pressed face first into the wall.

"Tell me where I am or else." The voice was low, cold, and dangerous. Ophidy felt the prick of a claw to her back. It dug in slightly to encourage her to speak.

She winced and looked back the best she could, "Listen, I'll tell you how to get out of here but please this isn't necessary." She tried to sound calm and reasonable.

The werewolf furrowed its brow and Ophidy, after a second, felt herself being pressed more firmly into the wall.

"I don't trust you. I can smell my blood all over you. Did you enjoy your dinner." The gruff growl of a voice gritted out.

Ophidy's eyes focused on what she could see of the creature behind her.

The confirmation that this was the source of the fascinating blood. She could obviously see she had been through something traumatic. It hurt her to think her kind would do this. Have they done this before? She felt herself beginning to question everything she knew.

"I don't agree with what they are doing to you. I don't know the details but I've pieced it together and I know you are being kept against your will. I told you I'd tell you how to leave." Ophidy continued, a little more passionately because she meant every word she said and to be able to voice it without judgement was satisfying.

She waited for a response. She could see the confusion on the werewolves face, wondering if this was some trick.

"I promise I am not lying." She tried to look convincing but she was worried her nervousness made her seem even more desperate.

"If you go around this building and continue south you'll arrive to a forest. Keep heading south and cross over the mountains. There is a town on the other side a few miles. It's friendly to most species I hear. We vampires don't normally go there." She hurried, ready to be freed from the wall and the claw digging into her back.

With a feeling of relief the claw was removed but she still was held firmly against the wall.

"You wouldn't mind leading the way then." The werewolf decided after a few moments. Ophidy felt herself being pulled to the chest of the werewolf suddenly.

One arm securely locked around her waist and Ophidy was too distracted to oppose by being swept out of the closet quickly. This werewolf was fast, before she knew it they were outside and the werewolf glanced wearily around the corner of the building.

Some voices were heard from the east of them. No doubt guards who failed to do their job and now were trying to find the werewolf.

She watched from below as the werewolf flared her nostrils, taking in all the nearby scents. After a few moments the werewolf took off in a break neck sprint. Ophidy didn't understand how someone could run so fast holding someone. Her kind were fast but not that fast. She, with her condition, had never moved this fast in her life.

They were nearing a tall wrought iron gate. It circled the whole territory of the Yanik compound. Just as they were only a short distance away a large explosion lit up the night sky.

Ophidy had to close her eyes at the sudden assault, her eyes burned and she hissed.

"Oww what the hell " she said as she tried her best to shield her eyes.

The werewolf knelt low, Ophidy was somewhat greatful that at least the werewolf was courteous enough to turn so that her back was to the light and shielded Ophidy's poor eyes.

"Took them long enough." She heard the werewolf say, a little less of a growl and seemed more normal, although it was still deeper than any woman's voice she had heard.

Suddenly a lot of yelling from the compound erupted, she knew they would be flocking to investigate the explosion.

What the hell is happening? Was the only thought Ophidy had.
