Reconnecting
In the aftermath of their argument, Su Bin and Tao made a conscious effort to prioritize their relationship amidst their demanding project. They carved out time for each other, setting aside evenings for walks in the park and weekends for quiet dinners at home.
One Saturday morning, Su Bin woke up to find Tao already in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as she approached him, a smile tugging at her lips. "What’s all this?"
Tao turned to her, a playful glint in his eyes. "I thought we could have a relaxing morning together, just the two of us. No work, no stress—just us."
Su Bin felt a warmth spread through her chest as she wrapped her arms around him. "That sounds perfect, Tao. Thank you."
They enjoyed a leisurely breakfast together, reminiscing about simpler times and making plans for the future. As they cleared the dishes, Su Bin felt a sense of contentment wash over her. It had been too long since they had spent a morning like this, just enjoying each other’s company.
Later that day, they decided to take a stroll through the nearby park, hand in hand. The sun was shining, and the park was alive with the sounds of laughter and chatter. Su Bin breathed in the fresh air, feeling a sense of peace settle over her.
As they walked, they talked about everything and nothing, losing themselves in the simple joy of being together. Su Bin felt a sense of closeness with Tao that she hadn’t felt in a long time, a reminder of why she had fallen in love with him in the first place.
As the sun began to set, they found themselves sitting on a bench overlooking a tranquil pond. Su Bin leaned her head against Tao’s shoulder, feeling his warmth envelop her. "I love moments like this, Tao. Just being with you, without a care in the world."
Tao squeezed her hand, his gaze softening. "Me too, Su Bin. I’ve missed this—just us, enjoying each other’s company."
Su Bin looked up at him, her heart overflowing with love. "I promise to make more time for us, Tao. No matter how busy we get, you’ll always be my priority."
Tao smiled, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. "And you’ll always be mine, Su Bin. I love you."
As they sat together, watching the sun dip below the horizon, Su Bin felt a renewed sense of hope for their future. No matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything.
And so, hand in hand, Su Bin and Tao walked home, their hearts full and their spirits lifted, ready to face whatever the future held—together.
