"Argh!"
"Hey, are you having a bad dream?"
I saw Yael's face as my vision adjusted.
Is it just a dream?
I roamed my eyes. We're still on a bus. They are all eyeing me. Worries are written on their faces. They're all alive! But, Sheantal? Where is she?
"Guys— oh newbie, you're already awake!" the japanese girl said.
"W-wait... are we already in the p-place?" she asked the president.
"No, we're stuck here. The bus' engine stopped working so we decided to stay in Sheantal's rest house for the meantime. It's just a ten minute walk from here, gladly."
Sheantal's rest house?
"Where are the other buses?" I asked again.
I'm just not feeling well in this kind of set-up.
"Oh, unluckily, they changed their route earlier. Maybe take the shortcut." Caleb answered.
"Hey, are you okay now? You're sweating really hard earlier and you keep saying my name." Yael's soft voice filled the whole bus. I just stared at him.
That's just a dream. Right.
"Woah! Yael Anderson you have a girlfriend but it sounds like you're so in love with the newbie?" Yuan. The troublemaker.
We heard a scoff behind Yael. Oh, right. Mauve was here.
"I'm sorry... and yes, I'm okay now." I smiled at Yael and let myself settle again.
We got our luggages and started to walk to the rest house.
"Is there someone taking care of that rest house, Sheantal?" Madisonne asked.
"Yep, my cousin, Riley."
I stopped walking. Riley. Is it possible that Miss Kim is her auntie too?
"Why'd you stop?" Nari said, pushing me.
"Sorry." I continued walking, not minding the people surrounding me.
I can clearly hear their laughs! Especially Yuan! Yeah, and the most iconic laugh I've ever heard in my entire life. Caleb's laugh! Gosh.
They're so chaotic...
"We're here!" Sheantal announced.
I scanned the place. It's different. Totally different from my dream. If I can call that a dream.
"Welcome! Holly! Long time no see!" Sheantal hugged the big man who was reading a newspaper.
Holly... the killer
"Oh, this is my school mates. Madisonne, Harris, Yuan, Caleb, Chase, Mauve, Nari, Hillary, Yukaria, Yael, and Willow... This is Holly, my best friend!"
"Hello, Holly!" We greeted each other in unison.
"Hello... enjoy your stay here for the meantime..."
"... especially you, Willow."
