Karina's outfit is above!

chapter fourteen.

Tyler opened his front door, prepared to leave, and meet up with Karina when someone was standing there about to knock on his door.

"Hi." The man greeted with a smile on his face, "I'm a friend of Mason's, you must be Tyler, right?"

Tyler nodded and held out his hand to shake, "Yeah, that's me. You are?"

"Javier."

Karina grabbed her grimoire and stuck it into her bag, Bonnie was at Elena's with Caroline as she was locked in her house as punishment for trying to hand herself over.

Bonnie offered to join Karina, but the girl insisted that she be there with Elena instead.

Karina looked up to see William standing in her doorway, a regretful look in his eyes. She tilted her head, "Will?"

"Please don't be mad." He started and she grew concerned. "I don't want you to be made but I found your book."

Karina felt her heart sink at this, there were a lot of books that she had, and he could be referring to a bunch of different ones, and yet she was afraid that he meant her grimoires. Grimoires that he no doubt wouldn't be able to understand, let alone read for that matter, but there were pictures and picture often said more than words ever could.

"Which book?" She asked him and her voice shook slightly.

William pulled a book out from behind his back and Karina sighed in relief that it was a simple novel from her shelf. It was a fantasy novel about werewolves, it wasn't inappropriate to read, but it definitely wasn't an easy read either.

"Oh, that one?" Karina laughed softly. "You know I don't mind when you borrow my things."

William nodded his head, "I know but I kind of got it dirty."

He proceeded to open the marked page and show her the small stain he had made from either grease or a drink. Karina didn't mind though, it was a book and could be replaced.

"Will, it's fine." Karina reassured him while kissing the top of his head. "I can get a new one, but the stain isn't that bad."

William sighed in relief as he sat on her bed, "I was scared you'd be mad."

"Why would I be mad?" Karina asked softly while sitting next to him, deciding she could spare a few minutes.

"You've been stressed lately, you stay up late and sometimes I can hear you groaning in your sleep." William admitted and Karina could see that he was worried about her. "I don't know what's got you all stressed, but I didn't want to make it worse."

Karina smiled at him and wrapped her arm around his shoulder, she gave him a tight squeeze. "Thank you for worrying about me, I'm okay. It's just the end of the year is approaching and that means stressing about my grades."

William nodded and wrapped his arms around her middle, "Well I'm here if you want to ever destress though you're always out more than home."

Karina kissed his head again, "I promise to spend more time at home."

"I know." William told her before looking up at her. "I don't think I ever tell you enough just how much you mean to me Rina, I love you." Karina felt her eyes water, "Thank you for coming home."

Karina tried not to cry but a few tears fell from her eyes as she gave him a tight squeeze. "I love you too Will and I'm really happy I'm home too."

The two spent some more time together before Karina gave William a ride to his friends house as he was going to be spending the night to work on a school project. Karina checked her phone to see that Tyler had texted her about Mason's friend arriving and being with him at the Lockwood family old cellar.
