Cassie walked into camp looking a little disappointed with her bow behind her back. Carl, visibly excited to see his sister back went running straight over to her wrapping his arms around cassie saying a quick hello making her disappointment disappear within seconds.

She bent down to place a kiss on Carl's forehead. As much as he kept telling everyone he was all grown up he wouldn't admit that he still loved when his sister showed affection.

Cassie looked around for a moment and when she didn't find who she was looking for she asked "Where's mom?" All carl did was point at woods which was all the confirmation Cassie needed to know her mom was out getting more mushrooms for dinner tonight, it was weird because she already found some earlier today.

Carl was practically dragging his sister over to where he was playing before she got back begging her to play with him and his friend Sophia so they wouldn't need to do their school work.

He pouted up at his sister giving her big puppy dog eyes "please, I don't want to do anymore school work it's pointless." Cassie tried to hide her laugh looking down at the young boy "you know you need to keep up with your school work carl, come on"

After she managed to get her brother sat at a table with his arms crossed and a frown on his face she walked around camp asking if there was anything she could help with. She settled on sitting atop the rv to keep watch with dale.

Dale was probably one of her favourite people in camp, he was more rational and calm than the others and she liked that.

Sitting back in the lawn chair running her fingers across a pair of binoculars she quietly conversed with dale until it was dark and everyone was gathered around their own respective fires.

"Daryl, hey" the older man looked up from cleaning his bolts to see what I wanted "grimes" i wasn't expecting him to agree to what I was about to ask but I was desperate "I was hoping you could teach me how to hunt with my bow, I want to contribute to the group".

He looked at me in disbelief shaking his head "you don't know how to use the bow?" I roll my eyes and sigh " I can use my bow but when it comes to hunting I just cant do it and you clearly know what you're doing "

"I ain't got time to teach ya something ya ain't gonna learn, grimes" I was a little bit frustrated at the fact he was making assumptions about me but I wasn't giving up "please Daryl I really want to learn this, it'll be good if there's more than one person who knows how to hunt."

He looked like he was thinking about it "this is just gonna be a one time thing, I'll teach you this once and that's it". I released a breath smiling down at him whilst he had the usual frown on his face "don't look so grumpy, it'll be great!".

"Show me how you hold your bow"
I hold the bow in my left hand and draw the arrow in my right. I see Daryl watching me "see I told you, I know how to hold my bow but I want to hunt things" he huffed out a chuckle "you're gonna need to be more quiet on your feet if you want something to even stick around long enough for you to aim".

"How do I do that?" He looks at me for split second before replying "go from heel to toe" I try do as he instructed and notice a slight difference. Daryl looks at my grinning face shaking his head.

Daryl holds his hand out when we come across a squirrel sat on a tree branch, he's whispering now "dont move just raise your bow" I do as he says raising my bow and drawing an arrow, I close my left eye as I aim at the squirrel, Daryl looks like hes going to adjust my hand but thinks better of it.

"Relax your grip, yep like that and relax the muscles in your shoulders, when you feel ready, shoot" I hold my breath as I aim and exhale as the arrow flies through the air missing the squirrel but it's better than I've done before.

I turn to look at Daryl giving him an excited smile and saying a thank you "yeah yeah it's nothing". I practiced walking quietly whilst we walked back to camp still really happy about the almost catch.

"It was fun, right? Come on, you can admit it" he shook his head and mumbled something that sound like "you did good" before walking off to his tent.
