Work, Ugh.

I was sitting on the edge of my father's desk, scrolling through my phone while he was talking to his men.

My father, Crimson, was one of the most powerful mobsters in the ring of Greed. He was feared by many loan sharks and imps, and was a ruthless killer.

I, on the other hand, just work for him so I can free load. I'm not saying I'm taking advantage of him, I do my part in the Mafia, but after I graduated high school I came to the Greed ring to find him.

My mother never really cared for me that much, so I just wanted someone to be proud of me for once. I showed Crimson what I'm capable of, and have been loyal to him. I think I make him proud, he never says anything about it but... Nevermind.

Breaking my thoughts, a tall, cowboy looking imp strolled in. He looked to be from Wrath, judging by his appearance, and he wasn't that bad looking. He had ripped, cream colored jeans, and he had a tan jacket with fringe on the bottom. Under that he had a gray-ish purple button down, and a darker gray-ish black vest. He had a slim frame, and white fluffy hair that wasn't all being contained by his cowboy hat. He had yellow-ish green, hypnotizing eyes that you could get lost in.

Every woman's dream, if you're into that.

I couldn't lie, he was attractive, and he would be an easy target, but he probably has woman swoonin' over him enough, I don't think he needs succubus shenanigans in his life.

But, fuck that! Who cares what he wants?

He shook hands with Crim and sat down. I wasn't paying much attention to them, but then I spotted Blitz outside the window on the street. I knew Crimson wouldn't be too happy about that, and I watched him interact with the famous clown Fizzarolli for a little while, before I tuned in on the conversation between him and the cowboy.

"But I have a body count in the hundreds," The imp said, and I held tried to hold back my dirty mind from interfering. "I ain't afraid to go after anyone. Women, kids..." One of Fizz's Queevies hit the window with a loud smack. "And cute little faced puppy-lookin' things." He motioned to the one stuck to the window. "Don't matter."

"Hmm, I'll tell you what," Crimson spoke up, and the imp got up to look out the window to see what was going on. "if you can deliver something of value... I'll consider it."

"One moment..." The imp drawled, and opened the window, taking his lasso that was attached to his belt, and lassoed Fizz and Blitz out of the street like it was nothing, slamming them against the wall as he dragged them inside.

I let out a low gasp at his work. I'm sure Crim was pleased now, although I don't get why we need two imps to hold hostage who we have no business with or grudges. Maybe Blitz, but it's more with Moxxie than him.

"Hired!" Crimson snickered and got up from his chair and walked over to the scene, his men circling the two imps, their guns ready and cocked. I stayed where I was, watching from afar.

I still hadn't gotten Cowboy's name yet, and I couldn't think of a name that would suit him either, so in my mind, I kept referring to him as Cowboy.

I'll just chat with him later, get to know him better before I seduce him.

I hopped off Crimson's desk and walked out the door, and went to a coffee shop down the street to take my mind off things.

I didn't wanna be involved in whatever scheme Crim was planning now, but I knew he'd call or text if he needed me. When I stepped out, the chilly air of Greed stung my skin, and I shivered. I didn't have a jacket or anything. Typical of me to forget at least something in the morning.

I leaned against the side of the building, holding my coffee, shaking. The coffee up warmed my hands but that was it. The door burst open with Crim's men carrying knocked out Fizz and Blitz, Cowboy following Crimson.

He stopped and looked at me, tipping his hat towards me as he assessed me.

"Little lady, you look like you're freezing." He spoke, and I gave him a fake smile. "What does it look like..." I shivered.

He chuckled and took off his jacket and handed it to me. "Here, the vest is 'nough for me..."

A guy knowing basic chivalry is enough to give me slight butterflies. I took his jacket and put it on. It was big on me, but the inside was lined with fur, so it was cozy.

"Thank you.." I said. He nodded, and ran a little to catch up with Crim.

I drank my coffee and left to the warehouse, not planning on giving him back his jacket anytime soon.
