"You need to stop this. Your mum is busy and she will not be pleased to hear you misbehaving." Kami just glared at the babysitter, and picked up her juice bottle, throwing it to the floor. "I want mama!" She cried. The woman sighed, and grabbed the buzzing phone on the counter. "She's busy right now. What can I do for you?" She spoke, picking up the bottle that Kami threw, the girl still crying. "Uh, who is this? Where's Kallie at?"
"I'm the babysitter. Kallie isn't here right now," she said, trying to give the bottle back but Kami wasn't having it.
"Okay, I'm coming over. All I hear is Kami sobbing so something isn't right." The woman furrowed her brows as he hung up the phone. She shrugged, setting it back on the counter. "Can you stop crying? She'll be back soon. So I can finally get out of here." Kami just cried more, the woman rolling her eyes and grabbing some snacks before going off the living room, leaving the 2 year old to cry in the dark.
An hour later, there was a knock on the door. The babysitter quickly got up and walked over to the door, pulling it open and faced with Lewis, and Roscoe at his feet. "How'd you get past the gate?" She questioned in confusion. "I know the code. Where's Kami?" Lewis asked, seeing how the woman wasn't holding the child like most babysitters would. She rolled her eyes, "she's in the kitchen, probably still crying."
Lewis walked inside, rushing off to the kitchen, he switched on the light and saw Kami still sitting in the highchair, tears running down her cheeks, covered in food and Roscoe barks at the babysitter. "What kind of babysitter leaves the baby by herself in the dark? Did you even change her?" Lewis immediately went over to Kami, the girl still crying as she whispered for her mum. "You try a changing a child who throws tantrums every time you go near her. She refused to eat. She refused to drink. She threw milk all over me. I don't get paid enough for that."
"You're not getting paid at all. Get the fuck out of here. Unless you want to be sued for child negligence." Lewis glared at her, and she scoffed, grabbing her purse and jacket, "whatever." He ignored her complaints as she walked to the front door, his focus on Kamiyah. "Come here, princess. I got you. She's gone. Don't worry." Lewis picked her up carefully, his words soothing her as she didn't cry as much.
