Port Angeles, 2005.

When bonnie walked into the bar that night the place was more crowded than what she had imagined it would be. She hurried to the back office to clock-in and found Benny, her boss, waiting for her.

"Bonnie, i was waiting for you," the man said from his seat behind the desk.

"Yes, Benny?" Bonnie sang.

"It's busy today," bonnie nodded, "I want you at the stage," she was beaming, "Lindsey and I will handle the bar."

"Whatever you say boss," she was excited. Singing all night, what else could she ask for? Maybe this was why Alice told her tonight was special.

"Don't make it too depressing tonight, yeah?" He joked. Bonnie laughed mockingly at him.

"No promises," she sang as she walked out of the office.

She was ready to start her night. One of the things she missed the most about singing at a bar was the alcohol. She really missed alcohol. She remembered very fondly how when she was still human she would have a drink or two before going on stage and then sometimes drink away the night. Oh! How she enjoyed her nights when she was human. She missed them deeply, she missed the taste of a good rum touching her lips and the ability to get drunk out of her mind when she needed it. She didn't need it right now but she liked to think that a good drink would make her feel better.

She remembered some nights when she worked at the Monroe club back in the 1930s Emma would give her a glass or two with some blood so she could feel 'a little more ecstatic', as Emma used to say. With time Emma Monroe became the mother she never had so when the woman died Bonnie wished she could get drunk out of her mind, but she couldn't so she drowned in human blood.

It wasn't like that now, she didn't want to drown in human blood or drink until she had forgotten her own name. She just wanted a drink. Easy, simple, but she couldn't get it. She really missed alcohol.

"Bonnie!" Lindsey called from behind the bar, "here," the girl said sliding a glass with an amber liquid, "drink!" She ordered, bonnie rolled her eyes.

"You know I don't drink," she tried to reason with the girl.

Bonnie met Lindsey Cardoso when she first arrived at forks. They shared many classes and with time they became friends. Lindsey at first was her very beautiful way to avoid hanging with the Cullens at school but very swiftly the girl became an important part of her life. Lindsey would be what one could consider a best friend. The girl was by far the closest friend she had, and she loved the girl, but the 'I have to get you drunk at least one time' personality trait that she had was annoying at times, even more when Bonnie really missed alcohol.
