Waku burst through the door of Takahara's bedroom.
"Takahara, just hear me out!" He cried.
Takahara sat silently at her desk, filling out paperwork, as usual. She was ignoring him.
"Takahara, please..." He got a glimpse of Takahara's thin-rimmed reading glasses and her shiny pink earrings. His heart fluttered, he loved every single part of his beloved supervisor. "Please talk to me," He spoke to her softly. "I'm sorry I embarrassed you." He could feel Takahara acknowledging him, but still not responding to his words. He wiped the sweat from his cheek, continuing to speak to her.
"Taka, I know you probably don't feel the same, but I love you- a lot." Takahara dipped her head down slightly, still pretending to ignore him. She removed her glasses, setting them down on the desk. "Takahara, I love everything about you." Waku confessed, fiddling with his long black scarf.
"You're an idiot, Waku." Takahara uttered, not moving from her position. Waku froze up, his cheeks flushing a warm, rosy red, a stark contrast to his snow white skin. Takahara turned her head to face him. To Waku's surprise, her cheeks had been painted a blushy pink, an embarrassed frown crossing her face. "You didn't know that I liked you?" She finally spoke up.
"No!?" Waku responded. "You're not the most outspoken lady, you know..." Waku chuckled awkwardly. He then went silent, focusing onto Takahara's doe-like eyes. "So, you're really not joking around, huh? You really do like- love me?" Waku asked, nervously biting his knuckle, his oval shaped glasses falling down on his face.
"Why do you think I stuck around you for so long?" She responded.
"Because that's your job....?"
Takahara paused for a moment, before giggling. Waku joined her in her fit of laughter, laughing along before Takahara went silent again. "I- I've just never fallen in love with someone before like I have with you. I don't think I've ever really fallen in love."
"I haven't felt this way about anyone in a long time." Waku responded, leaning slightly closer to her, drinking in all of her features. He stared at her face like a bug.
"I never really considered being in a relationship until I met you. I thought you were going to be a big, scary criminal, but you're the exact opposite." She cupped his soft, chubby cheek with her hand. Waku's cheeks burned up as she touched him. Waku decided to finally make a move, putting a hand on her waist, pulling her close to him. They were face to face. He hesitated for a short moment before he broke the distance between the two, kissing her softly. Takahara leaned heavily into the kiss, feeling his hands roaming slightly around her body.
Waku was the first to break the kiss. His glasses were falling off his face. Takahara tilted her head to the side faintly, pushing his glasses back onto his face. Waku had a dumb smile on his face, her lipstick smudged across his lips, his face bright rose red. He started to slowly giggle.
"Gosh, you look so stupid." She responded, her arms crossed, Waku's hand still remaining on her hip.
"So, uh, wanna be my girlfriend now?" He mumbled.
"Fine." She rolled her eyes, before focusing back onto him. Waku pulled her into his arms, planting a kiss on her forehead.
