It was almost time for the moment all boys had been waiting for for a very long time.
Harry and Louis couldn't wait to officially be husbands and just have it on paper, even though that was something that was never that important to them.
They decided since that the wedding is a month from now, it was time for reading vows. They actually wanted to do it like a day before the wedding, but they wouldn't be Harry and Louis if they just couldn't wait and had to do it here and now.
They had decided to do this in private, something that was just a moment for them and them alone with no one else but just them.
It wasn't particularly traditional, but when were they honestly?
The both of them sat down on their bed, both nervous but also happy, being prepared for this but also not at the same time.
"Want me to start, love?" Harry smiled in a shy way, caressing Louis his cheek.
Louis nodded. "I don't think I can start even if I wanted to, I'm just so nervous somehow!"
They both cracked a smile and Harry pecked his cheek, understanding Louis since he felt the exact same way.
He cleared his throat and reached for Louis his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze before speaking.
"My lovely Lou,
There is so much to say that words won't ever be able to explain nor compare to what I feel for you. We've come such a long way from me spilling that stupid drink to us playing games in a way, both knowing it wouldn't last like that.
The thing is, we lasted. I guess I always knew I would end up with you, deep down I knew it wouldn't matter what you said or did, I knew I would fall for you just the way I did if not even harder."
Louis had tears in his eyes at this point already and Harry couldn't help but giggle, leaning in for a kiss before continuing.
"You know the feeling that at one point you 'just know?' That is what I have with you. The road to where we are now has been tough and I can't imagine what would have happened if I lost you when I almost did, not being able to say the words you desperately needed to hear and for me to say.
I'm glad the universe gave me a chance to do so and now I will make sure to tell you those words every day until you get sick of hearing it, knowing you never will. Know that I love you either way, with or without working legs, I will carry you around the world if that means I get to be with you in this life and the next, always and forever.
I'm sorry that you sometimes don't always hear from me what you deserve, but I realise we have plenty of time left for me to show and tell you.
I love you, Louis. I can't say more or less than that, I love you more and more everyday and think about our future and that one moment where we will sit on the porch and look at our family, a family that we now have and one we created and know we have made it.
But honestly? We already have made it, you are mine and I am yours, it's all how it should be and I feel complete and the best I have ever been when I'm with you.
You are amazing, utterly beautiful and precious and gosh, so much more.
I wanted to put some jokes in this vow but I guess you just do things to me to make me feel like this and besides, you put up with my jokes everyday like this, this moment isn't a joke to me and will never be.
My sweet Louis, thank you. Thank you for being here and making this world a better place and my life the way it is, you make me happy and I promise I will do everything in my power to make you the happiest you can possibly be.
All the love from me to you, for now and forever,
Your Harry."
