Lilith stares at the bear that's slowly shifting into human form and as she stares at the bear she notices who is shifting into it's her best friend Alex and she looks at him weirdly because she doesn't know what this means. After all, she just turned 16, which means that she will find her mate, and she is confused because he has never been interested in her until now because of the supposed find between them.
Alex looks at Lilith with a smile on his face and says " I bet you didn't know that we were actual mates until now because your parents didn't want you to know who I was to you and tell you turned 16 but now they can't say anything because I have been protecting you this whole time without you even knowing anything about our connection until now but now that you turned 16 you can come to live with me and be away from your father who was never very nice to you when you were growing up.”
Just as Lilith was going to answer Alex back her father walked in and said "What do you think you're doing Lilith I didn't say you could send your staring at Alex like you are Alex looked at Lilith's father and gave him a warning deep in his throat and her father looks at Alex in deep discussed and walk away not caring about Lilith answer back to him. Lilith looks at Alex in shock and confusion. She slowly stands up and walks away without saying a word.
