Y/N woke up to the soft light filtering through the ancient wooden shutters of the ancestral home, her senses attuned to the subtle sounds of the early morning. She felt a sense of nostalgia mixed with determination as she stretched out in bed, the memories of past training sessions with Shen flooding her mind. The gentle patter of a light drizzle against the windows created a soothing rhythm, making her ears flicker slightly. Sitting up, Y/N reached for her hairbrush and methodically began tying her hair back into three neat parts of a long ponytail, each one a symbol of her disciplined approach to her training.

She stood up and stretched, feeling the comfortable fabric of her baggy sweatpants and shirt top shift against her fur. Before heading to the shower, she felt an irresistible urge to practice, to refine the skills she had honed under Shen's exacting mentorship. The room was spacious, with enough room for her to move freely. Y/N took a deep breath, centering herself, and then began to move through the familiar stances of her Kung Fu training.

Her movements were sharp and deliberate, each stance executed with the focus and strength that Shen had instilled in her. She started with basic poses, grounding herself in the fundamentals before progressing to more complex sequences. Her body flowed seamlessly from one stance to another, a dance of power and precision. She performed a series of high kicks, her legs slicing through the air with controlled force, each movement a testament to hours of relentless practice.

As Y/N transitioned into a series of quick jabs and punches, her fists moving in a blur as she imagined facing an unseen opponent, Shen watched from the shadows beyond the bedroom's sliding door. He stood silently, observing her every move with an impressed look on his face. He could see the progress she had made, the way her body moved with a confidence and strength that was a testament to her dedication.

Quietly, Shen slid the door open, his movements as delicate and precise as a dancer's. Leaning against the frame, he watched Y/N, who was completely absorbed in her practice. She executed a flawless whirlwind kick, her body spinning gracefully before she landed, her eyes suddenly locking onto Shen's.

Caught off guard, Shen stuttered slightly, a rare moment of vulnerability. "I... I see you've been practicing, my dear" he said, his voice a mixture of admiration and surprise.

Y/N smiled, slightly out of breath. "I have to keep up if I want to be the best, right?"

Shen nodded, stepping into the room. "Indeed. Your form has improved greatly. But remember, it's not just about the moves. It's about the spirit behind them."

She straightened up, her eyes meeting his with determination. "I understand that, Master. And I won't disappoint you Shen."

Shen's expression softened, a hint of pride in his eyes. "I know you won't Y/N. Now, let's see if you can keep that focus in our next session."

"However I have a task for you this morning, so kindly get yourself dressed and we will discuss it in the dining room." Shen instructed Y/N who returned his words with a graceful nod, bowing slightly as Shen left Y/N alone in her quarters, Shen smiling as he made his way to the kitchen for some much needed breakfast.

Y/N headed to the shower, feeling the invigorating anticipation of warm water against her fur. As she stepped into the bathroom, the steam enveloped her, creating a cocoon of warmth. She turned on the shower, the gentle hiss of water filling the room. Stepping under the stream, she closed her eyes, letting the water cascade over her, washing away the remnants of sleep and the sweat from her morning practice. It felt like standing in the rain, each droplet cleansing and renewing her spirit.
