New York City is well known for being the biggest metropolis in the U.S. Always been a hotspot for new and old restaurants, opportunities, 27 clubs and some "Night Activities."

And yet Samantha Carpenter can't seem to shake this emptiness she feels everyday in her life. Yes she was indeed aware of the consequence of refusing to let anyone new into her life, including people who flirt with her.

(Sam's pov) It was a busy Friday evening and I had just gotten off my shift at the diner. The manager let me go home early with my full pay as a reward for working hard everyday.

'Well he doesn't seem to know that there's a reason why I never take any days off and chose to work a lot.'

Anyways I wrap up my leftovers in a bag for dinner and walk back to my apartment, since the gym was closed today unfortunately. 'That's where I usually spend most of my time.'

New York being the big city it is, I had to bump through crowds and the junkies. Though I greeted some couples I pass by, I felt sad but happy that the said couples have found the one to be by their side.

When I got to my complex, the neighbors were already shooting looks at me, one then threw a paper ball at me. 'Well at least that's better than last week when he threw tomato's at me.' I wanted to tase him, but that would make things worse on me.

'Well looks like my new neighbors know that I'm the daughter of the first Ghostface.' After getting past all the death glares and comments, I enter my apartment and put my leftovers in the fridge.

I made my way to the living room and poured a cup of whiskey to collect my thoughts, staring at the blank tv screen.

Then I hear the door open a half hour later "Sammm! I'm home!" Hearing that voice always brings a smile to my face, knowing that Tara is alive and well from the recent attacks.

Tara sets her shopping bags on the counter and sits next to me on the couch. "You know you have to turn the Tv ON, instead of staring at a blank screen" Tara said, grabbing the remote. I did feel a bit of joy knowing that I'm giving Tara the space she needs, to be her own person.

Now she has a healthy relationship with Chad, a degree, and freedom to go out and have fun as long as she was careful and to use the taser I gave her.

I took a sip of my drink "So how was your date with Chad?"

Tara jumped up and down with excitement "Amazing! We went to a nice restaurant near the lake which had an open mic. You should have seen Chad try to sing "All of me" he did it a little off key but reassured that it was a "song he picked just for me."

"Tomorrow we are going to an arcade that just opened, want to join us?"

I felt an ache in my chest and it wasn't the whiskey talking "Thank you for the offer Tara but....I don't want to impose, especially since I'm letting you live your life freely."

The way my tone came out didn't hide my emotions and Tara was quick to notice

"Is everything ok sis?" She asked, putting a hand on my shoulder. I usually hate being asked that question but this is my sister. 'Sigh' "I guess...I guess I'm just lonely to tell you the truth."

Tara was confused "Lonely? Aw don't be silly, you have me and the twins. Core four remember?"

I sipped my drink once again "I mean you know....lonely." Tara playfully slapped her forehead "Ah sorry....I mean I can try to help you find a date."

I smiled a bit "That would be nice, I just hope I can find one. It's not that easy when you're the daughter of the first Ghostface killer and considering what happened here recently....yeah.
