chapter sixteen.

Two days.

Karina had left for two days, and everything went to shit.

Her family had taken time out of their schedule to take Tyler over to Florida to be with Mason. Karina hated the thought of him leaving her, but he wanted to be with his uncle who knew more about this rather than just having Javier at his side.

Javier had taken the rings that Karina and Bonnie made with the promise to find out which one was the right one. During their small time in Florida, Karina was able to show William the beach to which the boy loved and even loved meeting Mason and a few of his pack members.

Karina didn't like Jules or her boyfriend Brady, the two had this vibe to them that rubbed her the wrong way but Karina bit her tongue about it. Instead, she spent time with Mason and Tyler before finally they had to leave so that Karina and William could attend school the following Monday.

However, Karina didn't expect to come back to a complete shit show.

"So let me get this straight." Karina laughed as she paced in front of the group who all sat in the Salvatore Boarding House. "I took Tyler to Mason and you guys decide to take down Elijah? Damon got Rose killed because he insulted Elijah, Bonnie dove into Luka's mind which pissed Jonas off and now Bonnie has no magic." Karina listed off before looking at them all with an annoyed glare. "Anything else?"

"We're having a girls night tonight." Caroline added in with a sheepish grin.

Karina threw her hands up in the air and shook her head in disbelief. "I can't deal with you all right now. If Jonas comes for my family or anyone else because of you guys, I won't forgive you."

They watched Karina walk out of the boarding house and slammed the door behind her. They knew that she was pissed, extremely pissed and when they saw the jewelry gifted to them by Karina glow red, they knew they had fucked up.

Karina knocked on Jonas Martin's apartment door, the male witch was shocked to see her but let her in.

"I was gone for two days, and everything has gone to shit." Karina muttered as she entered the apartment and sat down while pulling out her grimoire. "What was your plan with Elijah to attack Klaus?"

Jonas looked at her and when Luka walked into the room, he decided to put a little of his faith in the girl. "When the sacrifice is complete, Klaus will be vulnerable enough to kill him."

"I assume it isn't that simple." Karina said while crossing one leg over the other. "What are you not telling me?" When neither answered, she sighed. "I can't help if I don't know what the fuck I'm helping with."

Jonas sat across from her and sighed, "Klaus has my daughter."

"Daughter?" Karina frowned, "Why does he have her?"

"She was kidnapped because I refused to help him find another way to break the curse with a Petrova doppelganger." Jonas told her and Luka sat next to his dad. "I just want her back."

Karina nodded her head, "Alright so how did Elijah convince you that Klaus could be killed?"

"Elijah said that by the hands of a servant of nature could Klaus be taken down, but that much power could kill them. Once the sacrifice is done, Klaus will be his most vulnerable and with enough power we can kill him." Jonas explained to her.

Karina thought about it, "You wanted to use Bonnie and I... didn't you?"

"It was an option." Luka jumped in when Jonas fell silent. "I didn't like it because we're not trying to start problems between two different covens."
