I wake up in a dimly lit room. I try to get up but I feel the sharp pain in my back. I get flashing images of my freind being shot. A young girl walks in. She says, "Hello Captain Perry. How are you doing"? "I'm doing ok. Where is Mitchell"? "Sir, lieutenant Mitchell, is dead". The pain in my back grows 2x stronger. "Sir, I'm sorry for your loss, I am here to comfort you. My name is Ashley Morgan". "I should be fine", I say as I turn, but I collapse in the floor. "What the he..."? "Sir, you are paralyzed. You were stabbed in the back and the knife hit your spine". "So. I can't walk"? "Yes, I'm afraid so". "
I awake now in my own bed at home. I see Ashley sitting next to me. "Ashley where the bloody heck is my wife". "She died last week in a car crash. I'm so sorry". My eyes flash and I see all the violence in the war. Then I fall asleep.
