There was no one Nami hated as much as her rival. The guy was beyond annoying with his antics. After the embarrassing experience at the lighthouse snack shack, she knew she had to be extra careful with him. She had no choice but to make him a part of her Simha life.

For days, she was upset about how things transpired the night they went out for dinner, but she kept up with the routine—dropping off his protein shake, take two sips of it before handing it to him, walking away from him, and then meeting him for dinner. He was his usual self, taunting and teasing her as they ate, but she maintained her cool.

She was giving him too much pleasure by showing how much she was irked by his actions and hoped he would lose interest when she had nothing to offer for his sick entertainment.

That evening, she was at the cafeteria waiting for him to show up and grace her with his presence before she could go back and catch up on some of her classwork. She was thankful he had a busy enough schedule not to bother her between classes.

She looked up when she heard footsteps, and to her surprise, it was Vasavi and Ramya and not Rana. They both looked worried. "Hey, girls."

Neither of the girls responded but sat down at the table. They looked around the cafeteria and leaned closer. "Nami, have you seen Varun?" Vasavi asked.

She scrunched her nose and wondered why she was asking about her ex-boyfriend. "No. Why do you ask?"

Ramya jumped in before Vasavi could respond. "That guy is suspecting one of us to have egged his car. He is looking to get back at us."

"What?" Nami's heart dropped to her stomach.

Did the Simha asshole leak the video?

"He's gone nuts," Ramya rolled her eyes. "He has been asking everyone who was out partying that night if they heard or saw anything."

"He's lost it," Nami said, although she was shaking on the inside with fear. Did Rana make a deal with Varun to spice up his entertainment?

That bastard!

Vasavi looked around the cafeteria. "He thinks I asked someone to do that."

Ramya rolled her eyes. "On hindsight, we should have done something about how he behaved with you. That would have given us immense pleasure."

"Let it go, Ramya." Vasavi looked dejected. "I just don't want him to annoy you two."

"Don't worry about us. If he annoys me, I'll punch him." Ramya was visibly angry.

Nami looked at Vasavi. "I know you didn't want to out him when he hurt you, but if he keeps annoying you, you should report him."

The other girl nodded thoughtfully. "I will if he messes with you two."

"We'll be fine, I will—" Her voice was lost when someone approached their table with a group right behind.

Nami looked up to find Varun standing over them, looking angrily at Ramya. "Hey, you, I know it's you. Why did you mess up my car?"

Nami was taken aback that the guy was targeting Ramya. "Back off," she said, standing up between the guy and her cousin.

Varun looked at Nami. "You stay out of this. I'm not talking to you."

"Don't talk to my cousin like that," Nami growled.

The guy ignored her warning and was still targeting Ramya. He was issuing threats, and she could see Ramya was shaking with anger but was unable to respond.

"Varun, I will report you," Nami said rather loudly, and that caught his attention, and he turned away from Ramya.

"Really, newbie. You will report me? For what?" He was beyond angry than when he was getting push back from them.
