[Vienna Dunne,Bassist,The Six] Just tell me when your ready[Interviewer] Lets start from the beginning, what was it like growing up for you?
[Vienna] My dad pretty much left once he had a girl. So it was me,my mom and my brothers. My mom was always working so it wasn't like I had a massive female influence growing up. But lucky for me my brothers were always home and I could just always hear music from their rooms. So that's where all my female influence was, music.
[Jack Knowles,Author of 'Rockland of Vienna Dunne:The Six to Now'] That's what made Vienna such a one-of-a-kind presence is that is she didn't have that presence growing up and she let it form her.
[Interviewer] Do you blame your mom for not being able to be there?
[Vienna] No of course not! She had to do what she did to keep 3 kids alive and I turned out fine [pause] well as fine as I could [laughs]

9-year old Vienna was, once again, woken up from loud guitar strumming throwing her face on her pillow
"Can you guys please stop!" She shouts hoping her brothers can hear it from across the hallway of notes.
"Vienna its not even 10pm!" 14-year old Billy shouts from his room
"I have school tomorrow!"
"So do I V!"
Vienna jumps from her bed walking across the hall to Billy and Grahams shared bedroom in her bright cotton pajamas
"Billy please its so loud!" She whines to her big brothers
A half asleep Graham pipes up his curly hair ruffled from his pillow "Why don't you teach her Billy?" he suggests as the other two looked at the 11-year old with puzzled looks. "Who knows maybe it'll calm her if she just knows what you're doing."
Billy sighs running a hand through his hair "You want to learn V?"
The young girl nods wanting to spend her time with,in her mind, the coolest person in the world. She watches as he shows her the strings on his guitar with the names of letters.
"See these make the noise that come out of the guitar. If you play them in the right order you make the songs."
"But do they have to be so loud?"
"That's the joy of it. Other people hearing your music. You can tell stores."
"With notes?" Vienna asks skeptic of her brothers words
"And the words you put with them." He adds "I can show you more after school tomorrow okay?" he says as his younger sister nods. He pulls her into a hug wrapping "Alright sleep tight Vienna."
"I will" she says as he lets go "Goodnight Billy!" she tells him as she walks back into her room resting her full and tired mind on the white pillow.

[Vienna] Oh my gosh I would steal Billy's guitar every morning from then on out from the time he left for school and the time I had to get on the bus [laughs] I just wanted to know everything I could about music!
[Interviewer] Do you even remember suggesting Billy teach Vienna music?
[Graham Dunne,Guitarist of The Six] I wish I did! I was so tired I probably just wanted to stop Vienna's whining. But hey I guess it worked in the end.
[Vienna] I remember asking my mom to buy me a guitar. [pause] Okay maybe not asking I was practically begging but can you blame me! I was hooked! It took me like 6 months and she ending up getting me a bass guitar because she thought it was the thing Billy had which it was not but hey I wasn't complaining you can bet your ass that.
