Gerald carefully followed the way the lions walked towards the habitat of the Garnerian lions. At dawn, he met a lame hyena. Fortunately, he ran fast and didn’t become the food of the hyena. The night on the grassland is always full of mystery and unexpected danger.
The lioness and cubs were sleeping soundly when Gerald returned to the lion colony. Lions are nocturnal creatures, and the daytime is their dormant time. Gera stepped over lion after lion, and in the meantime, one-year-old lion cub Reddy woke up, glanced at Geraldine with bleary eyes, and closed his eyes again.
zzzzzzzzzz~~
Like a symphony, the snores of lions are intertwined in this space.
Gerald was so tired, he found a corner and then fell asleep.
He doesn’t know what will be waiting for him when he wakes up again, maybe hunger, maybe blood, maybe death, but now, it just wants to sleep well.
Even so, it was quite clear that yesterday’s meal was not enough to satisfy the lions. When the second dusk began to fall, after being urged by the two lions, the lionesses went on a trip to look for food again.
This time, they set the target at a single adult male wildebeest, and several lionesses lowered their bodies, and quietly dormant in the grass, waiting for the chance to deal the fatal blow to the target. The wildebeest who was bowing his head to drink water, seemed to sense the imminent danger. He scratched his hoofs nervously, his muscles tensed, turned his head and ran desperately in the opposite direction of the lion’s encirclement.
When the lioness realised that their trace was exposed, they no longer hid, their speed was comparable to the high wind. In the twinkling of an eye, they caught up with the wildebeest and blocked it in the middle. The wildebeest watched as the lioness’s encirclement became smaller and smaller. With a cry, he desperately put her horn against the belly of a lioness. The lioness hurried away, while her sister seized the opportunity to bite off the wildebeest’s throat.
“My God, the way he’s going crazy is so unbearable.” The lioness who was attacked by the wildebeest horns said with lingering fears, it’s not fun to be crushed by a wildebeest.
“Dear Myra, let me remind you, that even the weakest prey will try to make a counterattack before dying. I hope you have a better memory next time, don’t be so careless, you don’t want to be like Lily and ends up being a pile of minced meat, right?”
“Hey, don’t compare Lily with me!” Five years old Myra licked her hair and said discontentedly, “Lily is a monster! So is her baby!”
“Well, let’s hurry up and invite Garner and Ryan to dinner! The big guy we hunted today is enough for us and the children.” Elder sister Asher seemed to think of something and showed a disdainful expression: “Oh, of course, so is the little unlucky guy who always picks up our leftovers behind us.
Eh? Where’s the little unlucky guy? Why didn’t I feel his smell?”“Who knows! Maybe he’s not hungry today, maybe he was taken away by something.” The second child Jones said unconcernedly.
Soon, the lionesses gave up the conversation because a lame zebra passed by beside them.
This zebra looks old and feels far less keen than when he was young, otherwise, it won’t enter the enclosure of lions without knowing it.
Of course, the lionesses will not let go of their prey. You know, they prefer zebra meat than wildebeest. When wildebeest and zebra appear together, they will undoubtedly give up wildebeest and choose zebra as their target.
A hunt began quietly again. Zebra hooves were very powerful. Lions had suffered a lot because of their hooves in the process of catching zebras. But today’s zebra is old and weak, and his lameness limits his speed. The lions subdued him without much effort . Soon, he fell into a pool of blood and became a delicious dinner for the lions.
