There's a change in the Beta rank. There are two types of Betas: the Alpha-Beta and the Omegan-Beta.
The Alpha Betas are not as dominant as the regular Alphas but are more pre-dominant than Omegas and Omegan-Betas. They are not aggressive like the regular Alphas but not timid like the regular Omegas. They usually mate with the regular Omegas or Omegan-Betas. They don't get ruts like the regular Alphas.
The Omegan-Betas are to the Alphas and the Alpha-Betas but more dominant than the regular Omegas, but the pure-blood Omegas are an exception. They are extroverts who like to make friends wherever they go. They usually mate with all the ranks, which are: Alphas, Alpha-Betas, fellow Omegan-Betas, or the regular Omegas. They don't get heats like regular Omegas. The male Omegan-Betas can't get naturally pregnant even if they mate with the dominant rank. They have to use the IVF to get pregnant.
So in the introduction chapter Jimin and Hoseok are introduced as regular Betas, now their ranks are:
Jimin: Omegan-Beta
Hoseok: Alpha-Beta
