In less than half an hour, a lot of good things piled up in front of Han Luoxue.
A pound of millet, half a year's supply of soybeans, and five or six small sweet potatoes. Uncle Wu at the head of the village was the most generous, and he even gave her a skinny old hen.
She showed everything to her father, who was silent for a while and sighed:
"Xue'er, we will remember this favor. If there is a chance in the future, we will return it."
Han Luoxue nodded. The old Han family was really inhumane. They had been abusing Dad for the past six months and kept the news a secret from anyone. Even those people who used to have a good relationship with Dad didn't know that they couldn't even afford to eat.
With oil and salt ready, Han Luoxue thought about it and stewed half a rabbit. She added some pine mushrooms when serving, and finally garnished it with some water celery. When she opened the lid, the rich aroma of meat and the unique fragrance of pine mushrooms filled the air, and most importantly, it looked good too.
Not wanting to be full with the rabbit meat, she made a pot of thicker cornmeal porridge and added some water celery at the end. The yellow cornmeal porridge, coupled with the green leaves, had a rich cornmeal aroma that could be smelled from afar, making people drool.
She did not waste the soaked vegetable leaves. She blanch them in boiling water, heat oil in a pan, and simply stir-fry them until the aroma comes out.
Han Luoxue was a good cook in her previous life. As a seasoned foodie, she couldn't help but want to try it herself.
She also bought a lot of cooking books, but the food she cooked at that time tasted so-so. Now, probably because of the use of space water, everything she cooks tastes delicious.
Han Luoxue refused to admit it because they were all too hungry.
The meal was ready, and Han Luoxue asked everyone to go back to their rooms.
When they smelled the fragrance, even Han Yuchen and Uncle Han couldn't help swallowing their saliva, not to mention Han Luoyu and others who had been hungry for several days.
Almost everything was swept away, nothing was left. Han Yuchen felt a little embarrassed:
"I still have some food at home. I'll bring it over later."
He originally just wanted to have a couple of bites for the sake of courtesy, but the food was so delicious.
It was more delicious than any he had eaten before from the imperial chef.
As for what Uncle Han had made before, as long as it was cooked, he felt that it was just pig food.
"No, no. Yuchen, there is still food at my aunt's house. It's not too late to ask you for some after we finish eating."
Yunniang now likes Han Yuchen more and more and said happily.
Han Mingyuan looked at his wife, then at Han Yuchen, smiled, and didn't say much.
After dinner, Han Luoxue took advantage of everyone being around and said worriedly:
"Dad, Mom, I'm worried that the Han family is still unwilling to give up."
But she knew that Old Lady Han was devoted to her and she could use her to exchange food from Butcher Liu.
Given the selfish nature of the Han family, how could they possibly give up?
