Next day, the first light of dawn filtered through the small window, illuminating the tiny room. We woke up feeling refreshed and free from exhaustion.

Sana stirred in her bed and looked over at me, "Good morning."

"Good morning," I smiled, "We need to look for work today. We can't afford to wait. The money will run out soon."

Sana nodded in agreement.

After a quick breakfast at a roadside roll selling vendor, we headed out in the lively streets of South Caba.

The streets were already bustling with activity. Vendors shouted about their goods, children played in the alleys, and the scent of street food filled the air.

On our way to job hunt, we stumbled upon a community center. As we stepped inside, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who listened to our situation intently.

"It's alright. We are open for volunteers who are interested in planning events and gatherings. Although the events here are not that big and the pay is not something that you can rely on permanently, but it will help you socialize around this area and help a little bit in your finances," he explained.

"That's great! Is there any event coming up soon? We would like to help as soon as possible. Right, Sana?" I asked curiously.

"Yes of course! We'd love to," Sana exclaimed. "By the way, may we know your good name?"

"My name's Arlo. And, about the event, yes, there are a few coming up this week. Let me give you a tour of the center first. I will introduce you to everyone in the evening."

After taking a good look around the old building and getting information about the upcoming events, we took our leave.

As Sana and I were strolling through the streets, we came across a narrow river. We decided to stay there for sometime. We sat on a big rock and started talking.

"Oh my god, it's only 1 o'clock and I'm so tired," Sana sighed.

"I know right. But my heart feels so much lighter after bagging a job," I smiled.

"I'm happy too! By the way, didn't you find Arlo cute?" Sana asked mischievously.

"I mean...yeah he was. What now? Sana's crush update?"

"Not a crush but he was sweet indeed. I am just excited to befriend new people. After all, we are on our own now."

We chatted for a few hours before joining our landlady for lunch at the lodge.
