Dear Diary, 1404, Friday, 10:37 pm.
It's been a year since my father's passing, I am now 18. I was crowned after my last training course with Master Ozai since he is retiring. He always had my back, and he loves riddles. One I will never figure out is his favorite of all time, "What is the best way to defeat your enemy?" He asks me every time I see him, to know if I've found the answer. Not yet. My answers were always, "Fighting" or "Kill them!" or something always along those lines, but they were never the answer.
Today I will meet my fiance, Ino, she's a kind woman from the kingdom of the mermaids, Growsea. She and I have been friends, but never in love. See she's into someone in her kingdom and me, I'm into a man, a guy from my kingdom. Me and her want to call off the engagement, but her father will not allow it. I learned that the King of the Demons, Tenzen, wanted to call on an alliance, but I declined. I can't after what they did to my father.
My lover, Arata, is a kind, strong, man who loves me no matter what, but I only see him when the sun is down, once a week. I wish I could see him more, but he does look and act like a demon which makes me suspicious. Tomorrow, we attack the Demon Kingdom.
