"Here take this..." I halted as he grabbed the hem of his large black hoodie and lift it over his large chest, it motioned past his shoulders and neck then he ripped it off his head, his hair now in a messy state as he tossed the material toward me which I grabbed before it fell to the ground as we stood at the entrance of the train station.
"Thanks..." I murmured then fitted the hoodie over my head. Flicking the hood over the hat that was still over my head, he nodded at me then we both descended the steps down towards the area of the slightly pack station as civilians, walk across the area, busy about their business.
A silver train was settled before us, parked on the railway as individuals boarded the system.
With his chest on the back of my head, the doctor tilts his head down and brush his lips on my ear as we both entered into the slightly pack compartment, I quickly stumbled over to one of the steel handle which was situated in the middle of the train, his frame pressed up behind me as I gripped the pole to steady myself as the train engine kicks in.
His lips moved on the skin of my ear, the exhale of breath was mint and cool which brush into my hearing. "Are you okay?"
"Fine." I replied shortly as my body shifted from side to side due to the transitioning of the train, I swallowed as he pressed his frame into my back, my fingers squeezing around the handle as I, automatically, kept my body on high alert while skimming every area of the compartment for the police.
His body shifted a bit with the rocking of the train, his lips still pressed on my ear, the tone of his voice deep as it vibrated with his chest. "You know there's nothing wrong with wearing your hair down at times. Being stuck up won't get you anywhere."
"There's no time for me to be carefree, we are literally being chase by the cops. I can't afford to go back to prison if we are not careful." I quirk an eyebrow as I spoke to him softly and glance at him from the side.
"You're right but you still need to relax...I won't let anyone harm you. You're safe with me." I narrowed my eyes at just behind the head of the woman who was standing before me, just through the glass door of that led to another section of the train, there stood three cops, interrogating a man at the entrance whilst they held a poster with a picture in hand.
Turning my body around slightly, I tilt my head up and brush my lips on his ear, my eyes still watching in attentiveness as I whispered.
"We have a fucking problem." I used my free hand and gripped the side of his jaw, his beard stubbed against my palms and I inhaled sharply but ignored the feeling as I angled his head forward for him to see.
"Let me handle it...I told you that I'd be your hero tonight, didn't I? Bella?" His lowered his voice and wrapped a hand around my waist, he kept me firmly to him as he dropped his other hand into his pocket, pulled out a blunt and a lighter. Quirking a brow up, he smirked down at me then pop it between his teeth.
"Trust me, sì?" I didn't answer him as we locked eyes, he scanned his icy irises over my face, the edge of his novel skimming my side as our body rock with the moving train. Lighting up the bud's end, he took a short puff then flicked the blunt into the bag of the woman who was standing before me.
I scanned my eyes to see if anyone was paying attention but luckily no one was watching, expect for the idiota before me.
"Seriously..." He smiled as from the corner of my eyes, I watched as the woman before me panic as she pop opens her bag and realized that her bag was steaming smoke.
"We needed some form of distraction, sweetheart."
She dropped the bag to the ground quickly, this created an air of confusion as the civilians mumbled while others screamed slightly as a small fire began to burned from within the bag.
Grabbing my wrist, the doctor, pulled me around the now rushing patrons who all moved around us and ran towards the woman as they tried to out the fire.
We both quickly strolled towards the back door of the train which automatically slide open to let us out. Stepping out on a metal platform, instant breeze drowned my frame as the trained creaks, the doctor held my hand tightly and glanced at me over his shoulder.
His hair swaying roughly as the trained rocked towards its destination.
"Hold unto my hands tightly okay..." He shouted over the loudness and I nod then took a deep breath as we both jump off from the platform and landed unto the ground. Falling on my side, I groaned as my ribs, hummed in pain from my sudden drop.
Gripping both of my hands, he pulled me up and connect his eyebrows together as he frowned. "I'm sorry Bella that you got hurt."
Swallowing down the pain. I toss up a grunt along with a stiff smile towards him as I held my side. "It's not your fault. Let's move."
Giving my hands a slight squeezed in comfort, he held my hand as he ran through the dark passage of tunnel, the sound of the train decreasing as we ran towards the exit of the tunnel. Pulling me behind him as we came up to the entrance, we both drifted backwards and lay our back flat against the cold wall as the cops flew past us just in that moment.
I held my breath as we waited for a long minute as the siren's lessen in the air. The red and blue lights, twinkled along each shiny surfaces and I cut my eyes up to his as he pulled me to his side. My breath shuddered as the doctor scanned his gaze over my face.
"Do you want me to carry you? For some reason, I don't like seeing you in pain..." I shook my head and this caused the man to soften his gaze while he rolled the back of his head on the wall.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me doctor. We need to move." I said as I tried to ignored the pain in my system. His offer was very tempting but, I didn't want to burden him.
Despite this, I relied on the charge that I had from the rush of defense and followed behind his large back as he crossed the streets and took me towards an underground parking lot.
Multiple vehicles surrounded the first floor of the parking space. With a short jog, I trailed behind the tall hunk of a doctor and watched as he make his way over to a black sleek Honda Civic.
Glancing around the area to see if anyone was around, I snapped my eyes over to the doctor as instant smash of glass grabbed my attention. A quick smile of amusement tugged at the side of my lips at the fact that he smashed the driver's window with just his fist to open the door.
I comprehend that the doctor was not only soft in nature but can be rough when needed and this made him...interesting.
"I think now is an acceptable time, isn't it sweetheart?" He asked as he motioned for me to get in as he hot-wired the car to kick start the engine.
"What is doc?"
Slamming the passenger door, I stared over at him, our eyes locking as he held the novel on his lap, the car trembling in a soft rumbled which fought against his deep, depth tone which searches further than the surface and digged huskily.
"I want...no it's more than want. I need to know this because it's important." He smiled as he shifted gear then we drove out of the building.
"If it's my name, then you're going to wait long doctor..." He chuckled so deep that it kisses the pulse on my neck to beat.
"You know you'll give in sweetheart and I'll be here to witness..." He paused as he swiped his bottom lip with his tongue, his icy irises, locking with mine for a short minute behind his glasses which did nothing to conceal the beauty they held.
He shifted it away towards the road while the protrusion in his neck moved as he gruffly said. "You telling it to me without resistance. Without care."
Smiling over at me, his hair dropped over his eyes as he took them off the road and lowered his voice, deeper than an octave.
"And not to mention, without a fucking self-control."
