02. || 𝗈𝗇𝖾.

Twenty years ago a mother and father by the names of Eunji and Ji-Yeong, the two were happily married and when they decided to have a kid the two were wishing for a sweet and adorable baby but what they didn't expect was to receive some unexpecting news that would ruin their lives.

When they went to see a doctor to check if she had a baby after a month passed they expected something good and exciting but when the doctor approached them he didn't look too happy.

"Miss Eunji?" The doctor spoke up as Eunji and Ji-Yeong looked over at him.
"Yes, doctor?"
"I'm sorry to say this but..." the doctor sighed before looking at Eunji, "you have Infertility, meaning you can't have kids...I'm truly sorry to have to tell you this news."

Eunji and Ji-Yeong were silent, they were too speechless at the words they just heard from the doctor, Eunji can't have kids? Why did this have to happen to them? They were excited to become parents, but what can they do now?

A few months had passed and they were still trying to find ways or some treatments but after many fails and no good news for anything working they were starting to give up. One day they went to a store to just get some groceries while they were still discussing the whole treatments they had done.

"Why don't we consider adopting? C'mon Eunji it's the only option we have now at this point"
"I guess you're right, we've been trying for months and nothing worked...but where can we adopt?"
"I'll start looking don't worry"
"Okay, hopefully we'll soon have a baby to look after..."

The two agreed at the idea of adopting and Ji-Yeong started looking for adoption centers the next day while Eunji went to work for a bit since she didn't go the day before.

After a couple of hours her shift ended and she was ready to go home, exhausted as it was currently 10:30 p.m it was pretty late and not much people or cars were outside now as the sun was gone and the dark had set, she went over to her car and sent her husband a message saying she was already coming home before she started driving off.

During her trip back to her house she had noticed her car was running low on gas and decided to stop by at a gas station, she got out of her car and went inside the store to pay for how much gas she needed, once she left the store she was walking back to her car until she felt a light tap on her shoulder and a low soothing voice spoke up.

"Excuse me you dropped your credit card" the voice spoke up, as Eunji turned around she saw a guy who looked about 20 years old, with his long black hair and beautiful eyes with a perfect face to look at, the guy looked unreal.
"Oh thank you I didn't even notice!" Eunji received her credit card from the guy as she put it back in her purse the guy smiled at her then.
"No worries you're really pretty, you're married right? To Ji-Yeong?"

"Yes, why?" The guy let out a sigh as he slowly circled Eunji a sadistic sigh escaped his lips.
"I heard you have Infertility isn't that right Miss Eunji?"
"How do you—"
"I should introduce myself shouldn't I? I'm Choi Beomgyu..." He smirked as he held Eunji's hand and gently placed a soft kiss on it before looking back up at her, "The devil Choi Beomgyu".

Eunji was stunned at the word 'devil' as she suddenly felt fear rushing through her body, fear that Beomgyu felt rushing through her body which made him chuckle darkly as his aura felt intimidating now.
"Ever since I heard about your condition I felt deeply sorry for you and your husband, so I thought about it and decided why won't I help you?"

"Why would you want to help, us...you're a monster, a demon!"
Beomgyu laughed before shaking his head and held onto Eunji's wrists, "can't the devil be nice? I mean I'm not some monster"
"What do you even mean in helping us.."
"Well, I could let you have a baby but it'll only be one, and the thing is I get to choose everything about the baby, it's characteristics, gender and everything like that."

Eunji thought for a moment, "but is there something to it? I know you wouldn't just randomly decide to help a human.."
Beomgyu chuckled once more, "hmm there is something to it sweetheart, the condition is if I let you have this baby...it'll be cursed and there's nothing to break the spell so the baby will be cursed for life.." he grinned as Eunji gasped at hearing the condition.

"A curse? How dare you want to put a curse on a child!—"
"Listen I didn't have a choice for that alright? Your kid will be cursed and that's final. Also once you have the kid I'd like to visit it when I can" Beomgyu let go of her wrists then as he took a minute before speaking up again.
"So...do we have a deal?"
"...okay, we have a deal..."
Beomgyu stepped away from her then as he smiled at her.

"Perfect I'll see you soon, take very good care of my little demon once I bring it to you...okay?~"
Eunji nodded at Beomgyu before he walked away then, as Eunji got back inside her car and drove back home shocked by what she had done.
