Damon (3:17 PM):
"Well... I had a sister, her name was Cassidy. We spent our entire childhood together, and she also helped me because our parents abused me. They always wanted me to be just like my sister, simply better than what I am now. That's why I moved with her, away from our parents. We always protected each other, no matter what. I really loved her a lot... She could have told me and shown me so much more..." I tell them.
Taila (3:20 PM):
"I don't mean to pry, Damon, but why are you speaking in the past tense...?" I ask cautiously. I look into Damon's eyes as one of them is watery and a tear rolls down. I can't see the other eye because of his hair. I comfort him: "Hey Damon, it's okay, let it all out."
Damon (3:23 PM):
"She died..." I continue, and there's a brief silence. Taila has tears in her eyes, and Dype looks concerned.
Dype (3:23 PM):
"From cancer, is that true?" I ask cautiously, although I already knew because of his thoughts, but I couldn't say that just yet.
Damon (3:23 PM):
"Yes, it's true... But how did you know that? I never mentioned it..." "I know some people who have lost loved ones to cancer, so I guessed, I'm sorry," Dype replies. "Oh, it's fine, actually I've mostly come to terms with it, but sometimes it still hits me..." As I said that, I somehow became afraid that I might lose Taila someday. Like Cassidy...
Taila (3:25 PM):
Damon bursts into tears, and I hug and comfort him right away. Dype seems quite overwhelmed by the situation, I think. A little later, I say, "Hey Damon, let's have a nice evening and watch the movie. If it helps you feel better, we can go out for a bit. You can calm down a bit there."
Damon (3:27 PM):
"Yeah, good idea. I'll just grab something from upstairs real quick, and you can go out already. I'll be there soon." Taila and Dype head out while I quickly go up to my room and grab something to smoke. I really need it right now.
