Y/n(V.O): Divorced can be rough on any family, but I not on my, my parents didn't divorce out of hate of anything, they feel out of love, and I think that's pretty friends. Now my mom had moved all the way to New York City, while my dad stayed in Utah with my twin Kenny, My parents thought me moving to New York would be a good restart for me, here's hoping.

{Brownstone Apartment}

The moving van pulled into a parking space with a car behind it and both Y/n and his mother got out of the car and walked in front of the apartment room.

Maria: What do you think?

Y/n: I like it, it's cozy, like early 2000s cozy.

Maria smiled and hugged her son and walked to the moving guys telling them the apartment they need to go to.

Y/n looked into the car and grabbed his sunglasses and put them on as it was really bright outside.

Y/n: You have fun mom, I'll be back.

Maria then stopped him before he could walk off.

Maria: Where do you think you're going mister?

Y/n: It's New York, I'm going to explore, before I start school.

Maria: Oh no, not happening. I'll take you.

Y/n: Mom, you and dad said you wanted me to have a fresh start here, be a better person, let me do that.

Maria gave him a judge like look before sighing.

Maria: Ok fine, but I better a call from the police, the cops here aren't like the ones in Utah.

Y/n: I promise no cop will call, unless it's to tell you what an outstanding citizen I've been.

Maria laughed and the two hugged before Y/n walked away, He started to explore the city of New York, looking at all the interesting things and the "unique" people there, almost an two hours later, he soon found himself ungrounded at the subway station, he picked a magazine on New York, and got on the subway.

New York City Subway. Two Girls, Maya and Riley are inside.

Riley: (applies lip gloss)

Maya: Whoa, Riley. You don't do lip gloss.

Riley: Oh, what I forgot to mention is that I'm completely reinventing myself. I ride the Subway now, I have kiwi lips now, and I'm just as cool as you now.

Maya: (looks over Riley's shoulder) Yeah? Let's see how cool you can be when you look at him.

Riley turns around and sees Y/n, Y/n saw the two cute girls staring at him and smiled at them.

Riley: (awkwardly smiles, then turns around and giggles)

Maya: Yeah, you're gonna need some lessons. Okay, let me show you everything you need to know about boys and girls.

Maya then walks over to Y/n.

Maya: Hi, I'm Maya. You're really cute. We should hang out sometime. You make me happy. You don't pay enough attention to me. This isn't working out. It's you, not me. We can still be friends. Not really.

Y/n(laughs): Ok before you walk off. Let me make a quick guess, Your teaching your best friend since childhood over how to talk to boys.

Maya: How did you know that?

Y/n: I use to teach my brother how to talk to girls. What's your name Firecracker?

Maya(blushing): Firecracker? I..I'm Maya.

Y/n: Y/n. Sorry for not paying attention to you. Guess we just do just work out.

Maya smiled at Y/n playing along and walked back to her friend.
