chapter -1 scholarship

A ray of sunlight fell on a girl who was sleeping outside the aasma orphanage but she just put her right hand above her eyes and went back to her beauty sleep.
Now you may wonder why is she sleeping outside now let's go back to flashback and see what happened

Flashback:
Yesterday night; inside the orphanage:

Ruhi! Ruhi! -Manager Sheela shouted her name
Ruhi who was feeding the birds outside came in hearing her name

Yes mada...
Before she could even complete her sentence a loud slap was delivered to her face by Sheela

By now Ruhi is full of tears and was trying to say something but words were not coming out from her mouth
Suddenly Manjiri, orphanage care taker came to her rescue

Why are you beating her ,sheela madam what she have done
Manjiri asked concern evident in her tone and she hugged shivering Ruhi to her chest

What she have done???? Why are you asking me this,ask her what she have done .. sheela barked mercilessly

Manjiri looks at Ruhi who inturn hugs her very tightly and shook her head indicating that she has not anything wrong

Suddenly Ria who was watching the show came forward to explain the situation

Woh Manju ma, this Ruhi mixed salt to sheela madam's coffee and she even ate all her mangoes.

How did you know that she had done this ?? Do you have any proof?
She asked sheela

Ria,Mishka,Arohi said they saw Ruhi stealing the mangoes and she also added salt to the coffee- said sheela

No! I did not do anything like that they all are lying pls believe me mam they all are lying
Ruhi started crying helplessly

Sheela yanked her away from Manjiri

Listen stupid girl!! Enough of the lies,I am not going to listen anything now you must receive your punishment

Ria,Arohi,Mishka smirked evilly as their plan worked successfully
Sheela dragged Ruhi outside the orphanage and pushed her to the ground

Today you won't get any food and you will sleep here saying that she went inside
Ruhi saw her pari ma who was silently crying seeing her condition
Ruhi weakly smiled at her and asked her to go inside as it was really cold outside

After everyone left she closed her eyes and started crying then her eyes fell on a rose plant
She went to the plant and started talking to it

Hey Rose! you know everyone in the orphanage hates me except my pari ma.. what have I done to receive this much hate??
I swear on my candies I did not do anything like what Sheela madam said ... why no one is believing me??

She then wiped her tears and laid down on the road
Soon she gets drifted into a peaceful slumber

Present time÷

Ruhi was having her beauty sleep outside the orphanage
At the mean time Arohi came outside to see Ruhi's misery and to make fun of her but the sight infront of her made her very angry

Ruhi was sleeping peacefully as if she is having the best sleep of her life.
Then Arohi called Ria and Mishka outside to torture Ruhi
The trio went to common bathroom and came outside with a bucket full of water and poured it on Ruhi

Ruhi woke up with a jerk and saw the trio smirking at her
She quietly stood up and went inside as she knows she can't fight them

Ruhi !! What happened to you? why are you drenched?
She heard her pari ma say

Nothing ma!! Why are you so early today?
Manjiri smiled at her
My child! I have a good news for you saying this she took an envelope and gave it to Ruhi who was utterly confused

Soon her confusion turned into happiness as she read it

Ruhi pov

Yaayyy!!!! I got scholarship from Nobel's high school. It was my dream to study there. I quickly hugged pari ma

From tomorrow I will be starting a new chapter of my life...
Nobel's high, I am coming

Little did I know that it was just a start of something deadly...
