Bittersweet

Hadley was in an empty white room, thinking she was alone got startled when her best friend Lindsey fell from the sky? The open air above them which she too fell from. They both were about to graduate from high school and Hadley was going to miss the people she grew fond of in the 3 years she was with them, but grateful that her best friend was by her side. After their mini reunion, the wise thing that the both of them thought was to run forward, it seems endless so there shouldn't really be any surprise falls. They were wrong. Apparently a void can have a drop which Lindsey seemed to find by tripping over something and falling, however there wasn't a thud which indicated that she landed, which made Hadley wonder how long is the damn drop as she followed quickly but cautiously to where Lindsey fell and peered over. The scene Hadley witnessed almost made her tear up, Ben, Lindsey's boyfriend, caught her with an endearing love in his eyes and surrounding him was all of her friends that she made and love interest. 

Lukas was there and Hadley has been feeling intense emotions of love towards him yet refused to do anything about it because she thought when they both leave school he wouldn't make a huge appearance in her head, and gradually the feelings were fading, but a tiny bit lingered whenever he was sweet or did sweet gestures towards her like when he was helping down from wherever Lindsey fell off. Once she got on her feet she scanned the other people that were with them and she got goosebumps instantly and loving every moment of it, wishing this view would stay photographic in her head forever. The thing that didn't make sense was how there was life down here, there was colour for starters, and there was road? It didn't make sense to her either but she didn't question it and even the fact there were little kids playing in the distance which perked Hadley's curiosity. 

After her reunion with the people that she would want to see forever of, she left Lindsey and headed off towards the kids before noticing one of the toys heading towards the road and seeing how peaceful it seems she assured the kid that she would get the toy as she headed towards the singular strip of road in the middle of nowhere. The next thing Hadley knew was her world went black. The last thing she heard was the kid scream and pointed towards the very fast car, flashing the lights to get her attention, which she saw only when the car slammed into her, thus her world going dark.
