-Juliette-

"I can't find it!" I yell downstairs to my mum. I rummage through my desk, and frantically search my drawers.

I curse under my breath. Izzy is supposed to come pick me up in less than 5 minutes, and I can't find my phone. I hear my mum in the hallway, and opening my door. She comes in with her hair in a tight bun, and her glasses on.

"Honey, it's fine if you don't have it today right? I'll search for your phone during the day don't worry." She smiles and looks at the state of my room. Her smile dissolves, and she looks up with a dissatisfied expression.

"Maybe if you cleaned your room more often you wouldn't have a problem finding your stuff." She murmurs. I pick up my bag and roll my eyes. I kiss her on the cheek and hurry out of the house.

Outside, my best friend Izzy Grahams is waiting for me. Her short blond hair is tied up, and her top is cherry red today. I walk towards her car, hoping in the passenger seat.

"Hey! Why do you look like you could murder someone?" She asks laughing.

I shot her a dirty look. "I can't find my phone."

She laughs open hearted, and continues to drive. "Well then, you'll have to talk to me for once."

I gasp. "I always talk to you! You just don't answer cause you're so mesmerized by Connor." I gag playfully. She laughs, pointing the middle finger at me.

We finally arrive at Fairview High School, and Izzy parks her car. Immediately when we get out, Connor greets her with a kiss and a hug.

"Hey Connor." I smile. He looks up from Izzy, and waves his hand. "Hey Jules!"

Leaving the two lovebirds to whatever, I see Kristy and Laura. I wave frantically, and hurry to see them. Aside from Izzy, Laura and Kristy are also my friends.
They're best friends, which is funny to me since they're the complete opposite of each other. Laura is so smart she skipped a grade, and is usually very quiet. On the other hand, Kristy won't shy away from an opportunity to make fun of jocks, and she loves to open her mouth.

"Hey girly!" Kristy hugs me, and asks me about my morning. I tell them both about my lost phone, and Izzy with Connor.

"I'm happy for Izzy. She finally found someone that loves her as much as she loves him." Laura says quietly. I nod, looking at Izzy messing with Connor's hair.

They actually weren't together before this year, but nonetheless they make an awfully cute couple.

Walking in the hallway to get to my class, I see Nate. He doesn't even glance at me.

In math class, I hear Brady Noon talking loudly in the back of the class. I roll my eyes.

I hate that guy.

I don't understand how the universe made Connor who's a nice guy, and Brady who is if I were to describe it, hell in human form.

When the bell rings, I quickly get up and walk to my locker.

"Hey Juliette" Brady looks at me with a look of despair. I frown. Before I could speak, Brady places his hands on my jaw, and plants his lips on my lips. Out of shock, I don't react but I quickly push him away.

"What the hell are you doing?" I whisper harshly. He looks around and places a hand around my waist. I stare at him with a horrified expression.

Now don't get me wrong, Brady might be the worst person on earth, but he's still handsome. But for some reason that I couldn't understand he started walking down the hall with me.

"God Ridge can't you just act normal?" He says with frustration in my ear. I look at him in disbelief.

"What the hell?!" I start the shout. Before I can rip him to shreds, he brings us in an empty classroom.

I keep my distance with him, and he starts thinking.

"What the hell is wrong with you Brady? Do you think you can just hook up with someone by getting up in their personal space!?" I yell. He rolls his eyes, and lets out a sigh.

"Look Ridge, Mary was on my tail again." He says as that might explain everything. I stare at him.

"Mary? You know the girl that has psychotic tendencies? The girl I dated last year?" Brady explains.

I let out a chuckle. A girl with psychotic tendencies? Only Brady Noon could say that about his latest side piece.

"Ridge I need a favor." Brady approaches me, coming closer. "We hate each other Brady, why would I help you?" I spit out.

He smirks, looking me up and down. "because you need something only I can get you." I scoff. What now? Who the hell is feeding Brady's ego like this?

"Whatever Brady. Find another chick to help you. And don't kiss me again." I shot him a death stare and open the door.

"Nate."

I stop in my tracks. How does he know Nate? I turn around to see Brady smiling ear to ear.

"Nate. The guy you've been hooked up on since you made out with him at my party last year." He smirks, knowing he hit a soft spot.

"How do you know that?" I ask aggressively.

He shrugs, proud of himself. "A gift I guess." I glare at him.

"Okay okay, so here's the deal. For three weeks, you act like my girlfriend. So that Mary can finally get away, and you will make Nate jealous."

I think about it. I want more than anything to get noticed by Nate, but I'm not sure this is the best idea.

"Come on Ridge. It'll only last three weeks, so after you can go hook up with Nate." He smiles, proud of himself.

I roll my eyes. He's right. Three weeks isn't a lot considering what I might get out of this deal. "Ok. Deal. But we have ground rules." He groans, sitting on a chair.

I take a breath. "No making out just kissing, I don't want to fuck you so that won't happen obviously, no telling anyone. And you have to make it realistic Brady." I tell him.

He puts his hand on his chest and looks at me flabbergasted. "What do you mean? I'm the perfect boyfriend material." I snort. "Yeah sure." I answer.

"So deal?" I ask him. "Deal." I shake his hand, and I leave Brady in the empty classroom.
