'Where is he!' I mumble to myself as I check the time on my phone.

You see... I have been waiting outside of the diner for fifteen minutes counting cars, people, and twiddling my thumbs hoping that eventually Seth would show up.... But he never did. An hour and a few tears later I left. I was filled with anger and rage. But then I thought why would he even be seen in public with me? Of course! He wanted me to be humiliated for letting my guard down to talk to him. I'm sure I'll be the laughing stalk of the school tomorrow.

I could just hear it now 'You know that girl Melody? yeah she actually thought I was going to take her out and get closer to her! You should have seen her face the whole day all puppy dog eyed at me like I was a Saint!'

I ferociously wiped away new tears that spilled from my large hazel eyes and drove home.

Seth's POV

"Seth!" An all to familiar voice came from behind me. Turning around I am met with a scowl from my best friend Mike.

"Please don't tell me you were talking to her! You know our reputation Seth. Lets go! The parties still on for tonight, and that Brianne chick is going to be there!" Mike hits my shoulder hard. But I don't sweat it because I'm a man.. (Don't judge me Ladies..)

I stare at Mike wide eyed.

"Oh come on! What?! YOU have plans with her don't you? Seth! I know you better than that!! If you don't come to this party people will talk, and me being an honest man I will simply tell them you decided to go out with the little.. Wait plump.. Nerd girl." Rage fills me and I could feel my face heat up. 

"What did you just say!" I move towards him and almost pushed him into the ground.

"Ah ah ah... Seth have you forgot.. I made you what and who you are now! If you go to that girl I will ruin you!"

I can't be ruined. I enjoyed my life the way it was. Girls swooning and falling at their feet as I walk by while most guys envy me and wish to be me. Mike could tell I was thinking this as he smirks at me.

"Are you ready to go to the party now?"  

"Whatever man." I follow after him willingly.

Melody, Please forgive me for this.

Guilt. That's what I felt for the rest of the night as I sat with Brianne she tried to kiss me multiple times but I told her I was sick and pretended to fake cough so she would stay away. I look over at Mike who was now holding his phone taking pictures.

"Seth Brianne say cheese!"

'Snap!'

Now that picture will be all over school. I hope Melody doesn't see it.

Melody's POV {The next day.}

'Don't look at him. Don't let him know you were upset. If he talks to you again just ignore him.' I chant to myself as the bell for homeroom rang. Teenagers spilled in the door and filled the once vacant seats.

Here he comes. I felt hot as he brushes past my desk to sit in front of me. But before he sits I get  a glimpse of his face. His electric blue eyes did not shine this morning, they only had huge dark circles under them. His blonde curly hair was flat and hung pathetically over his face. For the first time ever Seth looked.. Terrible. But I shrugged off my sympathy for him as our eyes met. Hazel stares into the blue dead ocean.

Scowling I break the glaze and look out the window. He doesn't say a word to me. He only sighs and sits in his desk. What happened to him? But before I broke the silence a popular kid comes over to Seth.

"Did you enjoy the party yesterday man? Oh I have that picture of Brianne and you. If you want it I'll send it to you!"

HE DITCHED ME FOR A PARTY?!?! I start shaking in fury as I continue to listen.

Seth's POV {Sorry I keep Jumping from peoples POV}

"Yeah Mike. I did. That won't be-"  I was cut off by seeing Melody run up to Ms. B and saying quick words as I met her red watery Hazel eyes. Way to go Mike. A Pang of guilt washed over me again and my heart hurt as she exited the room.

"Awe did I make her mad? Good! I didn't want you to talk to her. You almost caused a rumor to go around yesterday over talking to her!" The bell rings before I could properly tell Mike what I really thought about this whole thing...

I want to make things right with Melody. I'm glad I had all the same classes as her with NO Mike in them..
