ᯓ★ : nickayliah groaned loudly under her mask as dontae dragged her through the crowded mall "i wanna go home tae" she whined
"no, not until I get the latest jjk manga volume," he declared as he walked towards the book shop
"you already know what happened anyways , why do you need it"
dontae scoffed, "you're the last person who should be speaking , the second we walk into the bookshop you're grabbing mangas left and right."
it was Nickayliah's turn to scoff, "oh please, I never do that." She muttered as they walked into the store.
In the blink of an eye, Nickayliah effortlessly escapes from Dontae's hold and swiftly makes her way to the aisle housing her favourite manga series, My Hero Academia.
She quickly picked up a copy of each volume she didn't own and made her way to the aisle filled with new manga.
"See, what did I tell you," Dontae exclaimed from the Jujutsu Kaisen aisle. Nickayliah glanced at him and playfully pulled her mask down, sticking her tongue out.
she glanced over the new manga releases as she wondered which one was worth buying and reading
"wind breaker , kaiju no. 8 and ninja kamui are good shonen manga's" a voice said behind her, catching her attention, she glanced over her shoulder to see a curly haired boy holding the latest One Piece Manga along with Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.
"if you're a fan of shonen, that is ... I'm assuming you are since you're holding My hero academia manga — and I'm rambling.." he said trailing off
Nickayliah smiled behind her mask, grateful for the recommendations, and picked up the suggested manga. "Thank you for your input, I'll trust your judgment considering your excellent taste in manga," she said, turning to face the young man once more.
The curly-haired male nervously rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish smile, saying, "Ah, thanks."
"is there any more One Piece manga left? It's so popular, it's always sold out whenever I come here." Nickayliah asks, the curly-haired male nods "there's only 5 new volumes left," he replied.
nickayliah giggled as she spoke, "you've got great taste, I like you! What's your insta?" she asked cheerfully, pulling her phone out.
"it's 1zackaryarthur" he said, nickayliah found him on Instagram and followed him.
"well zackary , I'll dm you when i get home ya ?" she said with a smile
Zackary smiled "bye .. Um , i never got your name.." he said, curiosity evident in his eyes. Nickayliah smiled "it's Nickayliah."
"Bye Nickayliah" zackary said and made his way to the cashier
Dontae walked over to Nickayliah, his brows furrowed in confusion as he stared at Nickayliah, trying to decipher the situation through his locs "who's that and what's that all about ? Was he tryna ask you out or what ? Let me jump me."
"no need for that tae, he was just being friendly and giving me suggestions on new manga's. I think I made a new friend today" she said with a smile
Before Dontae could reply, she headed towards the cashier.
