Jake's POV [at hailey's house around midnight]

I was at hailey's house writing a new song with her, it was kinda annoying though, she disregarded my ideas for her "better" ideas but mine were totally better.

anyway, i was at her house and i was gonna leave until it started to rain.

"Aw man, it's raining" I said frowning, i really don't like the rain, there's nothing wrong with it. I just don't like getting wet, only in summer of course but it was the middle of spring.

"Really?" Hailey asked excited, going towards bedroom window you could see her eyes light up a bit, It was really adorable- in the most platonic way of course haha

"Come on" She said dragging me out her room

"What where are we going?" I asked

"outside, where else?" She answered

"Why"

"Cus it's raining"

"I may be slow, but not slow enough to not know that you can get sick from playing in the rain or being in the rain for too long" I said, Still getting dragged by her before she stopped walking and turned around

"what's wrong Sterling? Scared of the rain or something?" She teased

"What no- I just don't want my princess getting sick, it'd be a shame for me to be all alone at school tomorrow" I half joked

She crossed her arms, "I won't get sick i promise and please stop calling me princess"

"Ok, whatever you say...princess"

She rolled her eyes and continue to drag me to the door before she stopped andput her shoes on, i already had my shoes on so i didn't need to put any on

She opened the  door and ran out, almost immediately getting soaked from the rain.

She laughed, "Come on are just gonna stand on the porch the whole time and be a boring person?" She asked

"What? No i'm not being boring, i just don't wanna get wet...or sick" I answered

"Since when were you the responsible one?" She teased, moving wet hair pieces off her face and walking towards me, "Now come on off the porch" She said dragging me and making me immediately get soaked by the rain as well

"See was that so hard?" She giggled, and holy mother of rosy did she look so pretty, between the moonlight perfectly shining on her hair and the twinkle in her eyes from the excitement of the rain she looked perfect.

platonically of course.

Ok sure maybe not as platonic as it should be but really she's just a friend i could never like her like that ever, for a multitude of reasons

"Haha, This is awesome!" She yelled spinning in circles with her arms flared out,

"Haha, i've never thought i'd hear you say awesome" i said as she stoped spinning

"Awesome sauce, super duper, poggers, superfragilisticexpialidocious" She laughed

"I don't think i've ever seen you this happy" I chuckled

She sighed, "I love the rain"

"I can tell-"

"enough chitchat come on let's play tag"

"Tag? In the rain?"

"Well duh"

"I don't think that's safe-"
