Five Nights at Fazclaire's: The New Guy

550 Views?!

Neospark: Hello everyone! I happened to crack open my profile to see that this story somehow is past 550 views. That's... Amazing!

Sure, granted, 550 is probably chump change compared to other stories out there... but it means so much to me. Every single view, vote and comment brings a smile to my face... cause it's just further proof that I actually wrote something NOT terrible that people like to read! In all seriousness, I'm sure this may seem like a small milestone, but I just wanted to express how much I appreciate the attention this story is getting so far and hope that it continues to grow!

I apologize for being more or less dead on the app. I've been spending the past several weeks having to prepare for transferring to my next duty station, so my days have been exceptionally busy. REST ASSURED, it'll only be a few more days until I'm able to fully commit back to writing stories again!

What else am I missing... oh- right- I should probably give some kinda reward for this milestone uhh.... well, I CAN show a small excerpt of the next chapter involving everyone's favorite fox, Fexa! Just a SNEAK PEAK, though. I hope you all enjoy!

Damien: "Oh, y'know... it went well. I uh... made a few new friends and impressed my boss. I also got my first paycheck!"

Mom: "Oh that's wonderful, honey! Your father and I are so proud to hear that you're finally able to support yourself after so long --"

The call was interrupted by the sound of heavy knocking on the front door. Damien cocked an eyebrow and checked the time on his phone briefly. He wasn't expecting anyone to come over, especially at this hour.

Damien: "Oh- hang on, Mom. Someone's at the door."

He cracked the apartment door open to find a familiar, well-endowed fox pirate standing before him with a wide grin. She raised a hand and waved, bellowing out in her deep, rough voice loud enough for probably the entire apartment complex to hear.

Fexa: "AHOY THERE --"

Damien slammed the door in her face, turning to the right with a puzzled expression for a single moment. He turned back and opened the door again. Yep... she was still there... and still talking.

Fexa: "-- IGHTGUA --"

He slammed the door shut on her again, looking to the left now as he spoke into the phone, swallowing to hide the growing panic in his voice.

Damien: "Hey, Mom... I'm gonna have to call you back, I-I-... a... late... PACKAGE... of furniture..." He began to speak quickly, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "-- just arrived and they need my help to move everything in. Work was great, everything's great. Love you, byyyeeee!" He quickly hung up the phone and took a deep breath.

The man grasped the door handle and opened it a third time, seeing an impatient looking Fexa staring at him. She raised an eyebrow.

Fexa: "Might I speak now?" She put a hand on her hip.

Damien: "You may --" He was immediately cut off by the fox shouting again.

Fexa: "AHOY THERE, NIGHT GUARD! WHAT SAYS YE TO --"

Neospark: Right! With that sneak peek out of the way... I wanted to thank you all again for taking the time to read my story and, hopefully, find some enjoyment out of it one way or another! I do plan on continuing my writing as scheduled once this duty station transfer business is settled, so I hope you stay tuned!

(Yes, the story uses the MLP-themed Hearts of Iron 4 mod of the same name as the backdrop. I plan on that series being several 'seasons' a.k.a. books. I'll pick it up once I get further distance in Five Nights.)

I also have a very heavy W.I.P. of a Hazbin/Helluva combined story featuring a custom OC - Helluva Boss: One Bad Bitch. That one has unfortunately been on the backburner while I focused on Five Nights, but I WILL get around to it at some point down the road.

I also have MANY OTHER story ideas in draft that I plan to start on and work on in a timely manner to avoid burning myself out with pressure to juggle five or six stories at once. Stay tuned, Neospark signing off!
