I got really tired today, it was stressfull. I had to work overtime. I just wanted to reach home as soon as possible and take a good rest.
As I reached home, my parents were sitting in the living room talking about something. I didn't paid much attention and went to my room on the second floor.
I took a cold shower and changed itno comfortable clothes. I laid on my bed and closed my eyes to get some relief, eventually falling asleep.
After some time, I heard a loud voice, waking me up and I realised it was already 1 hour since I slept.
It was my mom's voice, she was calling me for dinner. "Yeah I'm coming" I said with a loud voice so that it can reach to my mom. I went downstairs to the dining table everyone was already sitting there. I sat and started having my dinner I didn't said a single word to anyone in the family.
All of a sudden my mom said "Aasthika I want to talk to you about something really important", leaving me shocked, my eyes widened at her statement. "Mumma please I'm really tired I can't talk, I just wanna sleep after having dinner", I replied to her.
She denied and said "I'll come to your room after dinner." "But Mummy." I said irritatedely, while she ordered me to shut up by her gestures.
"Uhhh" I whispered to myself. My brother who was enjoying all the drama,"Didi so sad awww" said in a teasing tone. "Atleast shut up you dumb" I replied angrily.
Didi [ Elder sister ]
"Ne ne ne na ne Didi ko aya gussa haww" He teased me again. I brust out in anger and was about to hit him hard while my father stopped me. He scolded both of us "Can't you two have dinner peacefully, you fight all the time." I lowered my gaze while my brother was still chuckling shamelessly.
Didi ko aya gussa [ Sister got angry ]
"Mumma I'm done" I said after finishing my dinner and went upstairs to my room.
After finishing all the work of the kitchen my mom came to my room. "Beta, listen carefully we're planning to arrange your marriage". I got shocked as soon I heard the word marriage and said "Mummy pleaseee no I don't wanna get married."
Beta [ Dear ]
"Aasthika, this is getting too much. You've been rejecting everyone's marriage proposal because of whom? That guy? Uh? This is not acceptable Aasthika. You have to move on from that guy." She said getting irritated. "Mumma pleaseee try to understand I don't want to get married." I replied tears filling my eyes.
"Aasthika, this is for your own good. You're destroying your life only for that guy. It's been a whole year!!!! You have to move ahead in life. We're arranging your marriage to Chauhan's youngest son Ritik Chauhan. He's the CEO of their family business."
"What??!?!! The Chauhans?? I said being all shocked, remembering what just happened today. "What happened?? Is something wrong with them?" My mom asked. "No no mumma but I'm not getting married these are my last words enough!!!!"
"Ahh Aasthika, you know what, that guy for whom you're rejecting all the good proposals got married 8 months ago!! And his wife is already 3 months pregnant."
My mom said while I got shocked at her statement. "Whattt??? Seriously. This can't be true" I said widening my eyes, tears falling on my cheeks, remembering what he said to me a year ago after my parents denied to marry him.
