Chapter 8: Battle In The Star Tomb Part 1

Tengen's Domain

Naruto was with Mai, Maki, Yuki and Choso waiting for Kenjaku to appear. Yuki was going over a plan which Naruto ignored because he had a feeling that no matter what they planned the ancient sorcerer would have a counter for it so he might as well wing it.

Naruto looked at Mai and Maki with a proud expression on his face, something they noticed and had small blushes. The twins had become strong in their own unique ways.

Mai had come a long way in using her curse technique, Construction. Before her low curse energy output held her back, but now with her connection to Maki and the training and curse item she helped make, she was no longer just a grade 3 sorcerer; she would one day be classed as special grade.

Maki had also grown; she was a superhuman if there ever was one, she had a body of steel, she was strong, fast and durable along with her advanced senses and curse tools (several weapons and items Naruto and Mai made for her) made the former Zenin a beast in battle.

There were times Maki was arrogant because of how much she had improved, so Naruto challenged her to a duel. He won but was injured, making him even more impressed.

Naruto is a special-grade sorcerer from the beginning and ever since he fought Sukuna, he has been training nonstop in order to defeat the king of curses. Needless to say, he was stronger than ever, and Maki still managed to harm him.

"Hey blonde, are you even listening to me?" Yuki yelled in Naruto's face as it would seem the Uzumaki was lost in thought.

"Honestly, I wasn't." Naruto replied as he came out of his thoughts. "I think we should just wing it and if the worst case happens, we should just exorcise Tengen so Kenjaku doesn't get his hands on her."

Tengen was a woman who was a surprise to find out from the ancient immortal sorcerer herself. It made sense now why every star plasma vessel is female.

"What are you crazy? We can't Exorcize Tengen. That would cause all the barriers in Japan that she puts up to vanish, and all hell will break loose. Curse spirits will grow in strength, and sorcerers will get weaker." Yuki exclaimed as she didn't mind the idea of Exorcizing Tengen but the consequences would be too great.

"That might be true, but if Kenjaku gets his hands on Tengen, all hell will break her loose anyway." Naruto said as he didn't see the problem in killing Tengen if she was going to fall into Kenjaku's hands, it would be a mercy and save more lives than it would cause the death of.

Yuki looked like she was going to argue with Naruto, but she stopped herself. The Uzumaki was right in the sense that Kenjaku might cause more deaths than if the barriers Tengen set up all over Japan disappear.

"Look, it's a last resort if for some reason we lose to Kenjaku but I plan on winning." Naruto said with a grin.

"Whatever," Yuki said with a pout. She was annoyed that her fellow special grade sorcerer didn't agree to make a plan just in case. "I still think we should make a plan."
